Swimming at Mi Playa

Signs up at Mi Playa stating 'no swimming'. Anyone know why?

One of few places in Penasco with an undertow. What a place to put a public beach.

Sounds like something the US government would do. Idea first**get $ from the people and do the work** Check for any problems and close the site

My guess would be the water is testing unsafe. Could be from a number of reason, but in walking the beaches I have smelled sewage many times and in some locations it is consistent.

It is very rocky there and I could envision small children being knocked over and hitting their heads on the rocks. In the US you would think of liability what with no life guards.
