Very interesting area. Home of famous Mexican Robin Hood Joaquin Murietta. The name Trincheras came from a huge prehistoric settlement on an overlooking hill. Google Trincheras. Lots of other locations in Sonora and New Mexico, Prehistoric settlements. Was there right after a gold shipment from the mine was hijacked years back.
