I;m going to miss it but you shouldn't:
Tucson's crazy music weekend
Alternative and classic rock fests, country, rap and Club Crawl, too!

Ah, October, when the weather cools and the music heats up. The month starts with a bang with two huge rock 'n' roll festivals, plus a Latin music festival, the massive Club Crawl and concerts by a country super duo and a hot Miami rapper. All that and marching bands and doo-wop, too? It adds up to a monster weekend for music. Here's what's up :
• Dub Crawl, Tucson's only electronic music festival, at Club Congress and Maynards on Friday. Much of the music is generated on a computer and perfectly suited for dancing. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 on Friday.
• Club Crawl, Saturday night at dozens of venues downtown and on North Fourth Avenue. Presented twice a year by the Tucson Weekly, it's the ultimate local music showcase. A wristband ($8 in advance, $10 on Saturday) gets you into club after club after club . . .
• KFMA Fall Ball 2009, with Rise Against and The Misfits, Saturday at Pima County Fairgrounds. This one's for all ages, but only if you like your rock banging with a sharp edge. It'll cost you $30.
• KLPXfest at the fairgrounds on Sunday, featuring classic rock staples Styx and REO Speedwagon. For some of you, the headliners were part of your high school soundtrack. Teens might consider the festival a sort of "Rock Band" video game challenge. It's also $30.
• Brooks & Dunn at Casino del Sol's AVA on Sunday. This could be the last time this country duo plays Tucson. They say they are splitting up after a final tour in 2010. Tickets start at $35 and top out at $125.
• Pitbull, hit-making rapper, at the Rialto Theatre on Sunday night. Tickets are $29 in advance, $35 on Sunday.
