I am on the verge of replacing the AC units on my home in the Phoenix area. I was told today that used units are in demand at decent prices in Penasco. Can anyone confirm or dispute that for me, please? The units are Trane XL1400 14 seer heat pump packaged roof-top units. They are 2 1/2, 3 1/2 and 4 tons and about eleven years old. They all work well but, I was told, the 3 1/2 ton unit may have a weak compressor. I have a trailer so getting them down would not be an issue except at the border, perhaps? Thanks for any input anyone may have.
