The Sonora state government received a donation of 550 wheelchairs Foundation Free Wheelchair Mission, California-based institution dedicated to supporting low-income people around the world.
Hermosillo, Sonora, August 28, 2012. - An inventory of 550 wheelchairs Foundation Free Wheelchair Mission (FWM) were donated to the Government of the State of Sonora for delivery to poor people who need an easy chair and can be used in the shower.
Luis Alberto Plasencia Osuna, Secretary of Social Development and Loustaunau Agustín Blanco, Director of DIF Sonora, gave a press conference in which they explained the origin and use of wheelchairs, of which 30 were delivered to the DIF - Sonora.
"These normally chairs will use people who have no help, no one person, a nurse, someone who is taking care of them, then plastic is designed precisely so they can bathe and care for their health, "he said.
The estimated cost of Donation is $ 565 24 000, that the exchange rate of 13.20 pesos per dollar equals 346 000 366.50 pesos, but being a donation SEDESSON only paid 19 000 880 pesos for importation costs, relying on the support of associations carriers that moved without cost from Manzanillo to Hermosillo.
