Food Not to Be Missed
Although it's been in business for a while, we had overlooked it until today. We are sorry now it took us so long
to experience the awesome food at Yummy Salads, on Fremont across the street from Don Julio's, in the sidewalk-front plaza space where Bancomer Bank hung it's hat in the good years. The menus is very varied, and beef and chicken items are plentiful. A large salad bar is on hand. So far we can vouch only for the Thai Wrap, the Steak Panini, the house burger and the Poblano Chowder served with ciabatta wedges. The Thai Wrap ( full of chicken chunks) for 85 P was huge, and together with the Chowder was more than enough for 2, at a total cost of 206 P, including 30 P for a bottle of beer and 32 P for lime green tea. The wait staff are bilingual and well experienced. The room is not huge but very comfortable with solid wood tables and chairs, and impeccably clean. It was easy to forget that we were in Mexico !
