I have the abilty to shorten or lenghten my trips to avoid the busy times at the border but most of my friends do not. Our economy and limited/reduced dollars to spend on vacations, the drug cartel headlines, swine flu scare and the incredible waits at the border all make for a long slow recovery. My friends can get over everything else but the thought of waiting in line for a few hours or more on a Sunday to get home sometimes is the deciding negative factor. I feel so sorry for the Mexican business people who have no control over any of this.
