Lovin it in RP!
If you are coming down this weekend and plan a visit to the Shrimp Park for the Pirates and Mermaids extravaganza - be notified there is construction on Benito Juarez (main street) here is a map to the event!

I was standing on the sidewalk at the BBVA bank next to the park.
You can drive on it at the moment but that could change quickely.

Yes, it's a usual routine. Streets closed without barriers or signs. Huge drop offs between existing pavement and new construction again without signs or notice. Fremont is inaccessable to Benito Juarez, at this moment in time due to a huge drop off. The detour from BJ to Fremont is around the park but is unmarked. Access to the Malecon is via Calle 8 in the Mirador to Benito Juarez. Luis Encinas is blocked off as are all the streets around the harbor for access to the Malecon at this moment. This could change as the blockage is for demolition and they did reopen BJ between demolition and resurfacing.

Locals know how to get around but the visitors do not. Have had a couple looking for access to the Malecon come in asking how find it.

It's really not that bad if you just look around, we had no problems getting around, access from Benito Juarez to Freemont is easy and is marked with a large flashing arrow light.
