I read the article in the paper this am about the new Safety Corridor from border to PP. I know I will have to watch me speed now. No more 80 miles an hour. Everyone that has traveled that road for 20 or more years does not watch their speed. I drive fast and am being passed by cars and trucks going much faster.

Yup, We left RP tuesday. Cops were also sitting at the Red Cross donation stop sign. Cars heading southbound can't see them cause of a little hill just outside Sonyota. 40k is the speed limit until ya get outta town. Saw one arizona plated car get easily pulled over.

Also northbound, Mexican Marines were stopping all rv's heading north. They just wanted to see the inside. Talked to four different rv'er. They all got stopped and boarded. They were about 100 yards south of the US border.

We came north on Mar 12 and got stopped in the same spot. Our friends got through because there wasn't room for two RVs to get pulled over at the same time

As an older and wiser person, I really can't see any reason to be driving those speeds between Rocky Point and the border. The danger increases exponentially as your speed increases and you are only saving yourself a few minutes at best. I have seen lots of wildlife on and near the road and even hit a couple rabbits over the years on that stretch. If saving 5 minutes is really that important to you, leave 5 minutes earlier and drive at a reasonable speed.

Lecture over.

That’s because you have demonstrably shown constantly what a judgemental idiot you are.
So I was going a bit short of 90 a few months ago after the coastal highway turns off toward Desembogue.....passed a vw anorak pickup ( nice, wish we could buy in states) he lights me up,I pull over and two stylishly dressed guys with German sub machine guns come up to my truck with purpose......see we weren't "the other" and let us go......been real peaceful the last two years.....one side gets the upper hand and we are better off......much like Assad winning fast....

Jim I didn't think you knew such big words! You have always sounded like you had the linguist ability of a 10 yr. old, and the same attitude to others.

Road stuff:
Headed north between km 30 and 29 a pothole that could blow a tire

The Coastal Highway construction is happening again...4 miles of torn up road and dirt detours... dangerous at night for sure. Might not want to pull a boat through it.. besides that road is great

Lot of Marines around..looking cool in their Rat Patrol trucks with mounted 50's

Thank stretch between km 20 and 30 has been bad for a few years. They try to repair it at times, but it seems to consistently be a bad stretch of road.

We hit the border at 10 AM, usual Sonoyta cop had a Range Rover pulled over 100 yards past the little hill where the speed drops to 40kph, 5 lanes open with zero wait.

I finally got to meet Mexico Joe and his girlfriend on our way out of Cholla. Super nice guy with a nice tricked out fishing jetski.

This looks like a fun thread.... No pictures and it didn't happen.
