Fishing in Las Conchas during mother's day

I've heard of friends eating the puffers by the hundreds much further south towards Mazatlan, but I wouldn't eat them. You have to prepare them a certain way, but I don't know how.

The puffers are okay to touch, just watch out for your fingers and their big teeth!

Moving Kayaks Back and Forth Across Border

I've never had any hassles, questions, or delays with 2 kayaks strapped to the top of my truck and campershell in over 15 years. I did exactly what you are thinking, purchased an inflatable kayak for the portability. Aire Tomcat tandem, made for white water, is very stable and very tough. I've had it for 20 years...

    Fishing withdrawal

The Fort Apache Reservation is also currently closed to all entry. Every dirt road and 2 track turning off Hwy 260 is chained closed with signs all over the place. I hope that changes soon because I have a permit for Christmas Tree Lake for May 30.

    Sharks off the Beach

Estevan, to answer your question about the type of shark you caught, its likely one of the several species of smoothhound sharks. The second dorsal fin looks about equal size to the first and the lower lobe of the caudal fin is very small. Baby sharks can be difficult to identify so this is a guess.
