Heard an ad for Boomerfest on 100.7, the classic rock station in Phoenix. They are spending money on promotion. Can't believe this is actually going to happen. I am sure they will have to sell day tix though. Most festivals do several weeks after first putting the full access passes on sale.

Got the album and saw the release party concert at Talking Stick last night. Still early impressions, but I really like the new record. Best since Americano but time will tell. Love the songs California Breakdown and Stick it to the Man. The album seems better produced than his previous...

Avoid UETA for beer. They sell the american versions of the mexican beer which is lower alcohol content, tastes worse, and is usually bottled in places like upstate NY. Only buy your beer in Mexico!

I feel this needs to be said....if the government would get out of peoples lives, including legalizing drugs, there would be no cartel.

Isn't this proposed Boomerfest date the same as Roger Clyne's Circus Mexicus???? If not the actual date, it would be within one week of each other....good luck with that!

Whatever you do, I would recommend getting your beer in Mexico and avoid buying in the U.S. or at the duty free at the border. While the duty free carries Tecate and Dos XX, they are the American versions, bottled in NY. The US versions are lower alcohol content then what you will buy in...

FYI, just got the latest Roger Clyne email and he announced that there will be a Refreshments re-union at Circus Mexicus show this year.

Neither phase is dead any longer. In June, should be very busy on the weekends with both pool bars open Phase II is a little more crowded and has Citron which serves buffet dinners most nights. I would say you can't go wrong....just try and get a unit close to the beach!

Mare Blu...by far and away the best restaurant on Sandy Beach. Playa Bonita is also good...but a bit overpriced.

Is the dry law actually enforced? I seem to remember being down in RP a few years back and you could still get beers...but my memory may be faulty.
