There are 3 lanes: Sentri, General, and Ready. With no passport, you would go in General lane.

When I checked CBP website on wait times, it mentioned there's a second border crossing- San Luis II which has a ready line. We called them to see if we could use that line, since we both have passport cards, but they said it's just for commercial crossing. I hope they look at opening it up...

We crossed yesterday afternoon around 4 and passed through the Ready Line around 5. So painful compared to Sonoyta/Lukeville, and the potholes/shoulder issues on the Coastal Highway are scary. About 8 hour trip back to Tucson vs. 4 hours. Can't wait until they reopen (if ever) the crossing.

Crossed border in San Luis- 1:15 in Ready Lane, which is supposed for be the fast lane. Pain. The Coastal road is full of potholes and shoulders that are washed out, so 10 foot drop.

The Tucson news showed the immigrants burning palo verdes in Organ Pipe National Monument. I can't blame them- it's cold outside, but any American would be arrested for defacing a National Monument. We need to keep them in Mexico until their "Amnesty" case is decided.

@randy and patty My husband crossed San Luis on Tuesday 12/5. No problem going in (he arrived around 10 am). Going home around 4 pm, 2 hour wait. We're going to look into Sentri!
