We feel fortunate. I can't wait to retire and stay for months at a time though.

What I love besides the obvious venue of sand and sun, is coming down and seeing my friends and neighbors again. Cholla is a small community of wonderful people. When we go into town we always meet new friends find new fun places to return to. We feel very luck to be able to come down twice a month.

Randy told us Wrecked will be back open for the Super Bowl.

Raf Raphael's water truck was stolen and driven into the desert and is now in pretty bad shape. Not known if it is related to the other events.

ATVs everywhere. Kiyaks and waverunners also. I tried years ago to rent for a week but no dice. But it would not hurt to try.

A friend of mine, also with a casa in Cholla, told me to be careful as a border patrol friend of hers said the drug cartels were traveling in groups between Lukeville and PP. Police and military involved. Road blocks and such. I hope it settles down before next week.
