Wow Doug that is a great fish!! We cooked a barred pargo on the grill with cumin, s&p and butter-it was so good, I will never forget it. It is also the favorite for fish head soup!!

The Cholla Bay Great White has moved south and has now been seen in Puerto Lobos. It is now hooked to a 15 gallon blue gas barrel. It surfaces every so often. In negotiations with a local cartel member for some hand grenades and a small rocket launcher - in case it shows again.

We were fishing in Lobos over the weekend and experienced similar conditions (posted a short blog on website)-when the bite is on it is amazing how much activity there is! Sounds like there are plenty of fish up your way too. Thanks for the report. www.lobosfishing.com

About getting to Lobos By Land- the road to yGriega and Desemboque are narrow but pretty good - the last 25 miles or so is the new highway, turn off at the little painted sign "puerto lobos" and one mile of dirt road to town. Should be no problem trailering a boat. By Sea-it is a great trip...

Bill- I had a super long day at work-just got showered and fed. Going to Lobos in the morning have not packed anything yet. There is a lot to know about getting to Lobos from RP. I will put up a post with the details tomorrow or the next day with a fishing report from Lobos.

WOW- I watched this show- what a story - must see- some really tough and brave men. I won't spoil it - but their boat sinks and 47 guys are in the freezing, rough water at night with no one close by to help.

Thanks guys for the nice comments. When ever you get to Lobos look me up for some of the local info. I am going to Lobos on Monday and then hoping to pull our other boat up to Rocky Pt. I have a 2004 -225 HP Yamaha four stroke-great motor but I cannot fix it- been down for a year-maybe rust...

Seen @ JJ's Cantina Scales.... weighed in at 205, but it sure looked bigger! Caught on 100 pound test. Also, an earlier catch of 135 BSBass, on 50 pound test.
