Thanks. We're in our motor home. Hope it fits through the X-ray machine. I guess we just need to allow extra time at the border. I *think* the free zone only means you aren't required to get a vehicle permit when entering this part of Mexico. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

A few hours ago there was a police checkpoint on Fremont before the Las Conchas turn off. They asked if we lived here & what section. We answered “yes” & told the the section. We showed them our last CFE bill and they let us through. Not sure what they would have said if we didn’t live here.

When we set up our fideicomiso, they asked us to provide a beneficiary, which we did. But, I'm not sure if it was actually required.

You can start with a small solar panel system and spend much less than $20K. You don’t have to generate more than you use. You can add more later if your use increases, electric rates increase and/or solar prices come down.
