There are 2 stations over on the west side of Phoenix, both right off I-10 that are running $3.71-3.75/gallon for diesel...at 51 Ave (QuikTrip) and 59 Ave (Liberty truck stop)

    Crossed yesterday

Has anybody noticed the lack of inspections by the Mexican side? My last 2 trips down, there were no agents even standing in the inspection area where you cross....nobody!!! Got the green light and that was it.

    Las Palomas Owners Unite!

I would think they didn't plant the rye...since the course/ground seemed very "moist" from all the rains the past couple of months. Didn't one of the resorts advertise that they used some type of grass that would utilize salt water?

    Las Palomas Owners Unite!

OK...I'm not a golfer...but I was out on the course over the weekend...for that YSF Baseball Clinic golf tournament....and although the appearance from above (color) looks like hell....it seemed to be very nice.....the greens may have been brownish/yellowish...but they were smooth, well...

On 1/16 diesel was 9.91 pesos per liter...with the 13.49 pesos per dollar I got at the Bodega, that's $2.78/gallon....over a $1 per gallon cheaper than home!

Thanks for the info Eduardo...I had previously used my cc at the Sinaloa/Fremont station, but you always had to go inside the little store to do the transaction...as far as I know, they closed the store a while back...so I use pesos (hit the ATM across the street on the corner)...

Border crossing at 21 mile checkpoint

Rosy...were you able to find out if the CONDEFA organization that issued the plate is able to identify who the owner of the vehicle is?...for example in the case of an accident? Do the owners have to carry insurance? In essence...is there any kind of control of those vehicles???? BTW i like...

Border crossing at 21 mile checkpoint

Definitely NOT "official", but a local told me that the plate allows the locals to drive their vehicle in town until they could get them fixed, registered, insured....don't know the mileage limitation....definitely not insured. There used to be an office in the same plaza as Cosmos2000...

Border crossing at 21 mile checkpoint

The one thing I know about them is NOT to have an accident with one!!! The police claimed there was no way to track the owner of the vehicle (hit and run...but had the license plate number).

    Races today!

I noticed the big sand bags in the corners in someone else's photos (on FB)....but there were still some brave (or not too bright) people setup with their chairs down low! Hey Russ...keep "cheering"...if it brings in some business for the town!

Border crossing at 21 mile checkpoint

Chari...the laws they are talking about are for Mexicans...driving non-mexican registered vehicles.... I would check with Rosy (if you have insurance with her, or if not)...but I think he would just have to have the registration and a notarized document that he had permission to drive the vehicle.

Ximena tested and fitted for hearing aids in nogales

I agree...I'm also confused....the communication has not always been the greatest. If you don't have a chance to talk to her before then, I'll be down next weekend, and will touch base with Mark and see if I can meet with her. I can get in touch with Maria on FB too...and she should be able to...

Ximena tested and fitted for hearing aids in nogales

Thanks Bill (and Fabiola)....no problem with the border crossing? I heard from Maria last week that she had to get all sorts of stuff (ID for Ximena, etc.) last minute. Will she have to go back to Nogales again in March?

How do they work it at that gas station....do you leave your ID/CC inside until you gas up, then they do the "dial-up CC" reader? I used to do that at the old Pemex out by the airport years ago...but half the time they couldn't get the transaction to go thru... I don't think the Pemex at...
