Don't get me wrong, most of me does not want them to start a panic about how unsafe it is in Mexico, like they always do particularly before a major holiday, but they got this story and . . . . WTF???

Do your grandkids still go to the movies, or the mall, or school, etc., etc., etc? Don't lie to them and do not hide the facts, but is it truly "safe" anywhere?

The media is always warning people to stay away from Mexico, warning us how unsafe it is; however, I have literally seen nothing on the news about this incident?

This is CRAZY!!!!! Now how will I ever convince my friends and family that we are safe? However, where in the world is it truly safe? Oh well, it will not stop us from going . . . perhaps now we can finally afford to buy our vacation home ???

We always take big doggie and have never been asked for paperwork. That being said, all vaccinations re up-to-date and we always have the paperwork with us just in case. We also bring her food in an old chlorine container. We don't try to hide anything, we just don't advertise it, and certainly...

I actually wondered about this myself. We ran across a deceased tortuga on the beach, well acutally big doggie found it as it was something stinky to roll around in! Anyway, about an hour later saw some people putting it in a garbage bag and in the back of their truck. When I inquired about it...

Actually, that might just ruin it for us. The idea of leaving the stress of everyday life north of the border is one of the things I love the most. This is why when we do go we go for as long as possible. Meanwhile, just waiting for "someday" to come.

Certainly wish it were not the case, but we have these committments called jobs so . . . . . .o_O

Interesting reading and lots of information. We also would LOVE to buy a condo someday, although long-term leasing is what I am leaning towards. However, until the day comes when we can justify the cost of buying or long term leasing, as well as having the time to go there more often, we must...

OMG - do you know my hubby? He has done the same thing, even marked spots on beaches that were favorite "shelling" places.

Thanks for sharing - these were awesome, music and all. We have done the whale watching in Cape Cod and would love to do it in Rocky Point as well.

OK - We have seen the amazing dolphins on just about every trip. We have also heard that whales can been seen in February-March, and would love to add that to our list of things we saw in Mexico. Discuss.
