    Building Blocks, Home Port

I did not intent to compare cruising to gambling as an activity rather in the manner they can be 'packaged' for ease of sales and activity. No muss, no fuss, no driving, no waiting at the air port, no additional expenses. One price buys all makes a good selling point. The organizer could also...

    Flare Gun Question

When I first moved here I had a random stop and search. In cleaning out the garage when I moved I came across 2 or 3 of the cheap chinese throwing knives. Without too much thought I put them in the door pocket. I always kept a pocket knife or two in the center console as well. One of them was a...

    Building Blocks, Home Port

Think I said this before but here goes, again. I think the way it will be marketed in the US will be to retirees and middle class folk mainly in Phoenix and Tucson. The cruise will be wrapped in an all inclusive package, bus trip from AZ, off the bus onto the boat. Boat makes the trip and...

    shark populations in puerto penasco

Heard a rumor from a good source that a large number of sharks have been spotted from Bahia de Kino and Lobos to Santo Thomas. Bumping pangas and stuff. Local pangeros are being very cautious. Flare Gun Question

I think if you had a flare gun tucked in your glovebox or were walking around in the Malecon with a flare gun in a holster on your hip you would have a problem. On the other hand if you had a flare gun in a boat or packed with a lot of boating gear, you prolly won't have a problem. If it is...

Regarding my comment about newbies. I have just noticed over the past 10 years or so I've been on this and the previous forum that while of course new people are always welcome, there is a tendency that the newer folk tend to be the least tolerent of others. They lack the perspective that grows...

Jeez. I promised I was not gonna dignify the bull that has been banging around, but here I go. Oh, BTW, Feliz Navidad !! Seems to me that the Jerry bashing started with a couple of relatively new nubies, maybe trolls. Jerry has his own opinions but you all seem to think when he expresses them...

That looks way too nerdy for the PP crowd. Saw a couple with their matching whatever the were. Fast, loud and colorful with drivers kitted out like a jet fighter pilot. Bet the neverleave the pavement, town cruisers.

    Ursid Meteor Shower tonight

When viewing to the east even Unconscious has a great sky view. Reminded me of 74 Draw in the Gila where we spent many happy hours. Had 3 sons there one night and we took a night stroll, tuned off all the lights and they were amazed how the sky was white.

    Train Accident

That wreck may have gotten someone's attention about the condition of the tracks. Large group of workers cleaning out between the tracks at the crossing on Benito Juarez today. The dirt was up to the top of the steel rails. That would be a bad place for a wreck. Maybe they will fix the pavement...
