    water shortage

Water flow to the Cholla fill station was fairly slow since Sunday when I came down. Flow today at 10:30am wasn't much better, when I left today. My water guy said it will take 5+ hours to fill his truck, there were 4 others waiting their turn. A nice lazy hot, windy and humid day for the...

    water shortage

Yes that's the place, 6 peso's you're probably correct, I usually get a couple of 5 gal bottles filled (and washed in/ out) and 2 bags of ice and I give them 40 pesos for the product and tip for putting in my car. A deal in my book. In San Diego it's $1.50-2.50 for 1 bottle and I have to clean...

    water shortage

Here is where I've gotten all my drinking water and ice from for many years. Bag of ice is 10 pesos and to fill a 5 gallon bottle with great tasting water 8 pesos. Corner of Constitution and Revolution a few blocks east of RR tracks at Cholla Mall (Rodeo drive).

    water shortage

On busy weekends especially warmer holiday weekends, much of the water supply goes to the resorts and to fill their tanks. Gotta keep the tourists happy or they don't come back. Cholla is supposed to be on a separate pump to ensure their supply but that doesn't work out every time, but supply...

    water shortage

The Cholla Bay trucks fill up at the area across from the police station as you enter. There is a meter on the fill line, the drivers record start and finish meter reading and pay every week or month. Money goes to the HOA, Who then pay the water bill to Ompas.

LS, now if I had my wife and 3 girl friends there with me together I'd have to install a 2,000 gallon tank. We have a big shower. :D

After one summer it would be gone and all beach front homes would be flooded from the rapid rise in sea levels. ;)

Completely agree, conservation is the near term solution. Infrastructure improvements, De-Sal and conservation are the longer term solutions. An example of conservation is, my wife and 3 girl friends are down for the 4th weekend and with 4 of them using everything have managed to use 1/2 of a...

    water shortage

Water to the Cholla fill station was sporadic at best yesterday and today. When I left today at 2:30, no water flow to the fill station. Plenty of houses in Cholla needing water for those using their houses during the 4th weekend. My neighbor finally got a water truck to deliver but was only...

YESTERDAY WAS A SCORCHER BUT TODAY?????

In Cholla at 6 am it was 69 with 74% humidity, pretty nice with a nice breeze from the E-SE, then around 10 am the AC went back on. It got up into the 90's here in Cholla with lower humidity. While in town my outside thermo on my car showed 97 at 2 pm. At 6pm it's 84 with 75% humidity, breeze...

The one off Benito Juarez on Ocana was terrible vs the other times I've been there, Carne asada tacos were really dry, like jerky. So disappointing
