My husband drove through Caborca last week and brought chicken dinner- but it didn't have white meat! I remember there were a few places in Penasco who would sell chicken for a cheaper price (right by Circle K by the harbor), but it didn't have white meat. Poor breastless chickens!

Agreed- street tacos are the best value both in DF and in Penasco, and they both seem to be about the same price.

Where did you get the shrimp cocktail? We've been trying different sites, and still the best we've had so far have been out beyond the aduana about 20 miles east of town.

I don't think Cancun or Cabo are cheaper, definitely not Mexico City, and probably not Puerto Vallarta.

We don't have 220 where we want the A/C, so we had to go w/ the 1 ton unit, but that's good to know- thanks. Yes, the baker's daughter works behind the counter. Luis and his wife said there was a bakery (discussed in another thread) in town now- I think he said it was run by the baker's son.
