The Elephant in the Room...THE WALL

Mexican's from south of the border aren't the only ones taking advantage of the system. Unfortunately 25-30% of the transactions in the US economy are cash only. There are so many different nationalities doing this. A lot of white people taking advantage of the $$ system too. I have known...

    Down 6/15-18

FYI, Just in time for the upcoming 4th weekend. Got a road condition report from my buddy who was down last weekend and he said the Sonyota to RP road has some nasty pot holes again going both directions. Going south between km 25-30 and north around km 70 -75. He tore up a tire on his trailer...

Roberto, In fairness to this guy, the revocation happened in 2004. I'm sure he has changed his way and is legit now. :killin: Ok I've started running. ;)

    Building Boom?

Very true about Manana, Mexico has a different mindset than the USA. Things do get fixed, just a bit slower. A much more relaxed attitude and lifestyle.

    Buying a condo or house

+1 on Dan, If there are any capital gains from the previous owner make sure they are liable. A few people I know got stuck having to pay them when applying for their new Bank Trust. This was because the slimeball real estate agent set the contract up to allow the old owners to pass their gain...

    Introducing....

I saw a lot more seagulls on my last trip June 1st. Usually by that time, only the older or less healthy ones still around. While the younger ones are in S. Cal bothering the tourists. I still saw some pelicans but didn't note if their numbers were lower. Even the trees are blooming 30-40 days...

    What happened to Sandy Beach?

Yes the trick is getting to the supposedly open beaches with no access. Seems like SBR/Browns has been using barbed wire fencing to fence off their properties around SB and in Cholla. Lot's of new shiny barb wire. Even the old social club building in Cholla has been fenced off.

    What happened to Sandy Beach?

SBR is still allowing access to Sandy Beach to select groups of people. We have seen it open with people and vehicles on it a couple of times in the past 2 years. Looked like a private event, we were able to use SB last year because they hadn't closed the entrance to it yet, so the next day so...

    sharks

Getting close to RP only 93 miles away. I saw a GW shark tracking map over a 3 year period and they do visit the northern Sea of Cortes regularly. Further south below San Carlos lot's of visits. Always remember when you are swimming in the ocean you can become part of the food chain.

Anybody But Me Been Hearing This Ad on the Radio???

Been in mine for 27 years and watched all 4 of our kids grow up during the 4-5 weeks per year we stay there. 3 of the 4 would kill us if we ever thought of selling it. Our youngest girl was 12 days old when we took her for her 1st trip, on a Memorial Day week, (20 years ago and No electric at...
