    Sometimes we had to go 40 miles to fish for yellowtail. My friend in Kino Has caught them from shore halfway to San Carlos so you might have some success down that way. Himalaya is where they camped.

    Yellowtail fishing in Kino Bay is at least 20 miles out. Lots of opportunities for other fish just north of there.

    BajaNomad has up to date info on that road. Check under Road Conditions. Not paved but they are working on the last 20 miles or so. Smoother than last spring but if it rains hard in the area it gets muddy fast.

    Was there road construction on that route? We drove that way in May and got a rock thrown from a water truck that damaged our windshield. Heading back to Kino Bay for the holidays but will go through Nogales if they are still working on that road.

    The water trucks are still throwing rocks on the detour. Just went through Sunday. Had to drive to Flagstaff with a badly damaged windshield.

    Boating & Fishing in Kino Bay Read this about fishing in Kino. A friend of mine just drove from Kino to Rocky Point last week and said the potholes were filled in recently.
