This article was posted today De Frente Sonoyta

These were just a couple of the points they brought up:
They are actually admitting that "disinfecting the inside of vehicles and the tires does not make sense. Disinfection tunnels are NONSENSE and are dangerous. No disinfectant designed for inert surfaces should be used on human skin. "

Here is the Translated version:
THINGS WE SHOULD KNOW ABOUT WHAT TO DO IN THE Covid-19
The effects of COVID-19 on the human body not only manifest during the disease, but can remain afterwards and leave aftermath.
1. The SARS COV2, can only enter the body and infect through the mucous membranes of EYES AND BREATHES
2. SARS COV2 DOES NOT enter through the skin. Walking around in biosecurity suits, and GLOVES is ABSURD! (except if work is critical patient unit in hospital)
3. The SARS COV2 for its tiny size by aerodynamic effect, does NOT stick to clothes. We'd have to move at high speed for this to happen.
4. SARS COV2, does not infect vehicles, nor the tires of them. No one inhales or licks the tires of a car or the external structure.
HAS NO SENSE ROCKING DISINFECTANT to vehicles!!
5. On the floor and on the street there may be coronavirus, yes, but adhere to our shoes and also do it in sufficient quantity to infect us not (theoretically only if we lick the sole of our shoes). THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPROVABLE.
6. Disinfection tunnels HAVE NO SENSE and are dangerous. No disinfectant designed for inert surfaces should be used on human skin.
7. It makes sense to wear a mask (to avoid exhaling, coughing particles with coronavirus).
It makes sense to wash our hands constantly or use alcohol gel.
It makes sense to keep the distance between people.
Milan Epidemiology Center
Due to the collapse of the Health System in several countries, we, health professionals, prepare this text for the population in case you don't want to risk going to a hospital immediately:
Symptoms appear from the third day after infection (virus symptoms).
1rd phase:
* Body pain.
* Pain in the eyes.
* Headache.
* Vomiting
* Diarrhea.
* Nasal secretion or nose congestion.
* irritated eyes.
* Burn when urinating.
* Febrile Feeling.
* Dry throat.
It's very important to count the days of symptoms: first, second, third.
Medication: AZITROMICINE, Take 1 capsule of 500 mg per day from the 3st day, to reduce contagion, decrease symptoms and prevent pneumonia.
IVERMECTINA helps neutralize the virus, better before fever appears.
Don't wait for the fever to come before you take antibiotics.
Attention, it's very important to drink lots of liquids especially water. Drink plenty of water to keep your throat from dry and to help clean your lungs.
Phase 2: (4th to 8th day) Inflammatory
* Loss of flavor and / or smell.
* Tired to the minimum effort.
* Chest pain (chest box).
* Chest oppression.
* Lower back pain (in kidney region).
The virus attacks nerve endings.
Differentiate between tiredness and shortness of breath:
- shortness of breath is when the person is sitting, without making any effort and lacking the air;
- tiredness is when the person moves to do something simple and feels tired).
Need lots of hydration and vitamin c
(Virus virus binds to oxygen, blood quality is poor, with less oxygen) minimum level 90.
If you have a cough, have some cough syrup. (I took the acetylcysteine syrup in envelope).
3rd phase: Healing: Day 3 enters the healing phase, up to the fourteenth day (convalescence).
Don't delay treatment, the sooner the better.
Good luck to all."
It's better to keep these recommendations, prevention is never too much
Council of isolation hospitals, we can do medications that are taken in home isolation hospitals
1. Vitamin C-1000
2. Vitamin E (E)
3. (10 to 11) hours, sitting in the sun for 15 to 20 minutes.
4. Egg flour once.
5. Rest / sleep at least 7-8 hours
6. We drink 1.5 litres of water daily
7. All meals must be hot (not cold). And that's all we do at the hospital to strengthen the immune system.
Note that coronavirus pH varies from 5.5 to 8.5.
Therefore, all we need to do to eliminate the virus is consume more alkaline foods above the acidic level of the virus.
Such as: Green Bananas, Lemon-9.9 pH Yellow Lemon-8.2 pH Avocado-15.6 pH Garlic-13.2 pH Mango-8.7 pH Tangerine-8.5 pH Pineapple-12.7 pH Berro - 22.7 pH Oranges-9.2 pH
How to know you are infected with COVID 19. Itching in the throat 2. Dry in the throat 3. Dry cough 4. High temperature 5. Lack of breath 6. Loss of smell... And lemon with warm water remove the virus at first before reaching the lungs!!!!

Another unhappy Tourist due to the Covid test scam at the Filter. They lost their resort money. I wonder how many more will during this holiday.

They denounce that in Puerto Peñasco sanitary filter they use false tests of Covid-19

> A tourist family exhibits the scam of these quick analyzes

Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, August 30, 2020.- A family of tourists who came to this port denounced that the rapid tests that are being applied in the sanitary filter are giving false, wrong diagnoses, since they had to have it positive for coronavirus, but to return to the States States and taking the test again, this was negative.
Here the full message:
"BEWARE: New way Mexico is scamming people. My family and I were on our way to Rocky Point yesterday morning. We were selected to get tested for Covid. My husband tested positive and we were instructed to turn around and get out. On our journey home we were all scared because we have Covid and haven't had symptoms yet. When we got home we immediately went to Urgent Care to be tested for a US test. NEWS FROM BREAKING TIME We just finished receive our results and they are all negative. According to our Dr. USA stated that he does not know what kind of test MX performed, but it could be for antibodies, which means that at some point my husband could have been exposed or had Covid Some time ago I know I had pneumonia in February.So maybe you had Covid back then, but not now.
Now I'm off my resort fee, not enjoying family time on the beach, etc. Is this a new scam to control the population entering Rocky Point while earning money from the resort?
I am so happy that my family does not have Covid but at the same time I am upset that we were wrongly accused of having the virus. "

We experienced nearly same yesterday. Pay $37, wait 15 minutes, but result was negative. Supposedly an antibody test and if positive, home you go. You could have antibodies from months ago. Doesn't matter.

Masks seem optional. Some are wearing them, some not. Malecon was full. Mostly Mexicans. Was a lot of traffic heading north yesterday, looked like about an hour border wait. Everyone is excited about Wednesday "when things will return to normal."

Port was closed Fri, Sat, Sun due to wind.
We may make it out today.

This policy is of course stupid, but for reasons including some that have never occurred to them. My wife and I have been inoculated as part of the clinical trial for the Pfizer COVID vaccine. So have about 15,000 other people so far, and then there is the Moderna vaccine trial. Half of these people are getting the actual vaccine, and the others placebo. The people who get the vaccine will develop a strong antibody response. There is a 75% chance that at least one of us will show antibodies. Of course I plan to do my own antibody testing before our next trip down and bring a ton of documents, which they would likely ignore.

It looks like they may start stopping you before you enter into Mexico (on the US side) to crack down on non-essential travel.

New "blockade" at the gatehouse goes to US citizens in Mexico
The ambassador, Christopher Landau, called it irresponsible to cross into the United States, taking advantage of citizenship for purchases and family visits in the midst of the pandemic

Tribune of San Luis

In his official Twitter account, the United States Ambassador to Mexico, Christopher Landau (@USAmbMex), reiterated the formation of long lines and delays at land border crossings to the neighboring country due to the actions implemented by the Customs Office and Border Protection (CBP) to facilitate “truly” essential travel.
The foregoing, after said body announced that starting this week the closure of both pedestrian and vehicular lanes would be carried out, as well as a double inspection of each user who intends to cross into the neighboring country for non-essential issues, on those with US citizenship who usually cross from Mexico to “the other side” and vice versa, making use of their legal status to make such trips.
"This weekend there were very long lines at some of the land border crossings to enter the United States from Mexico, because CPB is focusing its resources on facilitating essential travel," he said in the first lines of his message.
In that sense, he said that "it seems that many US citizens in the border region are not taking the restrictions seriously and cross in both directions for non-essential travel such as shopping, meals and family visits," which he adjudged as an aggravation of the health crisis by Covid-19.
USERS REPORT
Regarding said restrictions, users in local social networks stated that until this day the lines remained in "apparent normality"; however, there are those who have already suffered from the blockade by the US authorities, such as Josie, a netizen who shared on her personal account that “they are giving a warning on Sentri. We only have to go to Mexico out of special necessity ”, thus confirming the actions implemented in the border port.

If the USA cares that much why don't they put the pressure on Mr. idiot Manuel Lopez Obrador the president of Mexico to close his border to tourists? It seems to always work when they want Mexico to comply with something they twist his arm like on the import/export deal of the tomatoes. If they are not going to do that then leave people alone and let them travel to Mexico to do what they want instead of living in fear.

I agree, this part of border enforcement should rest 100% with Mexico. Since the "closure" was announced a few months back, the USA does not allow Mexico visitors across the border for tourism/shopping/etc; they can only cross for a handful of "essential" reasons (medical visit, schooling, etc).
But Mexico *never* reciprocated and thus created a giant loophole; US citizens can freely cross to Mexico, and later cannot be denied re-entry back to the US, so it hasn't affected them at all. Here in Nogales the contrast is starkly visible. Mexican plates have almost entirely disappeared from the AZ side, yet for AZ natives it has been business as usual: visits to friends & family in Mexico, trips to San Carlos/PP, etc.
In the end, in spite of whatever the official line is from Mexico regarding health & safety being priority #1, I highly doubt they have any real desire to close the border. Covid may be floating across the border, but so is the almighty dollar- at this point those dollars are likely seen as too important to send back.
brokenwave
It's always about the $$ and that's anywhere. Out of 100, if Covid mattered 51% vs the economy at 49%, the economy win's.
Since this is an election year, so now if Covid mattered 80% the economy would still win because problems associated with
Covid is secondary to many politicians. They may say what people want to hear, but the agenda is much different, staying in
power is all that matters. Because it's all about the $$.

I have talked to people on the San Carlos pages and they said they have crossed back into Nogales through Sentri, Standard Lanes in Mariposa without anymore hassle than before the pandemic. My spouse and I are headed to SC in October so that gave us some comfort since we both have Sentri and she is was a conditional resident just renewed to a permanent resident (but they only gave her an 18 month extension letter due to the huge backlog of renewing green cards. ) She probably wont see the new physical green card till the end of next year.

COVID TEST, OVERWHELMING NUMBERS OF FALSE POSITIVES

Early in the pandemic I read a very good article about the mathematical side of false positives and negatives. It made a very compelling argument against *random* testing precisely due to the prevalence of false results. Instead it recommended *targeted* testing of people either with symptoms or who had been exposed to confirmed cases.
When you test a large population of people randomly, even a test with a low incidence of false results can produce very bad data, as the false positives can overwhelm the true positives (i.e. real cases). In this scenario, there are so many false positives that it becomes hard/impossible to sort those people out from the real cases (i.e. for the purpose of contact tracing or self-quarantining)
I will post the link later if I can find it...

That is good! My friend that has a house down there said that one of her Costa Rican friends got a tongue lashing going back into the states by an agent for non essential travel from Rocky Point. I guess it depends on the agent. In the facebook group they have labeled one particular agent that has a power trip. I guess many people have reported him to the Lukeville supervisors.

Naomi and I did our staycation (new post) during the week, we simply will not be going out in public this weekend. The mask thing is a real concern for us as many people coming down will try to refuse wearing them when they go out and they will be dealt with accordingly and rightly so. Regardless of your stand on mask.....it doesn't matter they are mandatory everywhere in public, it is still very strict here. The line at the border coming into Mexico is several miles long already at noon on Friday, the resorts are claiming sell outs at their capacity limits. Too much new chance of catching something I don't need in my life. I hope they have fun and I hope they obey our law here, and I hope they are safe.

It would be a pity to screw up and get hospitalized or worse for COVID at this point. We get our second inoculations in the Pfizer vaccine trial in ten days, and then at the end of September we will independently get antibody testing to find out who got the actual vaccine and who got the placebo. As of Monday the Pfizer trial had enlisted 23,000 of a planned 30,000 participants. The Moderna trial is at a similar place, and the AstraZenica trial is about to start big in LA. I would have some reservations about recommending one of these vaccines if the FDA is coerced to approve emergency use in October, but the data on safety and efficacy should be solid for one or more candidates by the end of the year.

Unfortunately vaccines of any sort probably won’t be available in Mexico until spring or summer of next year. Also many Americans will pass on vaccination because the disinformation campaigns will convince them it‘s dangerous or unnecessary.

Anyhow, we‘re closer to the end of this than the beginning, and if the White House wants to rush things, the integrity and litigation aversion of major pharmaceutical companies should ensure our safety. But no one, certainly no one spending a lot of time in Mexico, will be able to count on herd immunity for years, if at all. Mask up for another few months, get vaccinated when an evidence based vaccine is available, and be healthy for more seasons in the sun and surf.

I'm not even remotely an anti-vaxxer, quite the contrary, I have 2 young boys and follow their vaccine schedules to the letter. Having said that, I don't think it is crazy at all to be be skeptical about a vaccine that is is being rushed to market compared to anything that has been previously done.
Trump obviously has political incentives to have it approved before the election, but how much "better" will the safety data be in December or January? Wouldn't part of the safety research have to consider *long-term* side effects? How can that possibly be done in this case?
I probably wouldn't have an issue giving it to myself, but to my 6 and 4 year old kids? You can call me crazy, but I'm not thrilled about that at all. And leaving anti-vaxxers or conspiracy theorists aside, I wouldn't look down on any "normal" person who feels uncomfortable about it.
I hope & pray the vaccine is both safe & effective. But even if it does work well, there is going to be a decently large percent of people who will not get it until more time passes to "prove" that it is safe- I'm guessing maybe 20-30%?
Hopefully the population of people who *do* get the vaccine right away (or who got immunity from the virus itself) will be sufficient to drive the cases down so far that covid is effectively eradicated. Maybe that's just wishful thinking though...

Minors are not enrolled in the current clinical trials. There will be no data on safety for minors until late 2021, if then.

Risk calculations need to balance risk of vaccination with risk of injury or death from infection. The mRNA vaccines seem to be inherently safer than virus derived Vaccines.

That is a very interesting revelation you make about minors not being part of the testing- is the general public aware of that crucial fact? That would leave a huge part of the population un-vaccinated...
For example, I wonder how that would impact school re-openings? If none of the students are vaccinated, will the teachers ever agree to come back?

The mask thing is a real concern for us as many people coming down will try to refuse wearing them when they go out and they will be dealt with accordingly and rightly so. Regardless of your stand on mask.....it doesn't matter they are mandatory everywhere in public, it is still very strict here. The line at the border coming into Mexico is several miles long already at noon on Friday, the resorts are claiming sell outs at their capacity limits. Too much new chance of catching something I don't need in my life. I hope they have fun and I hope they obey our law here, and I hope they are safe.

Saw some of your posts on a rare FB surf. I didn't know PDO had a pool. How much are those rooms you were showing? How do I get financing on a Mexicosis house?!

Minors are not enrolled in the current clinical trials. There will be no data on safety for minors until late 2021, if then.

Risk calculations need to balance risk of vaccination with risk of injury or death from infection. The mRNA vaccines seem to be inherently safer than virus derived Vaccines.

if it is safe, why not enroll minors ?

Maybe that's just wishful thinking though...

watch this debate regarding vaccines. Pro, anti, whatever you are regarding vaccines , this discussion is both educational and fascinating.

I heard parts of the city are out of beer and water!?
brokenwave
There are a ton of people down there this weekend, all the condo's are full. So no water and no beer is not surprising.
Water is being diverted to the Resorts and many stores have cut back on their inventory because of the uncertainty
with visitors over the next few months.
Hundred's of cars were stopped at the border at 8PM when it was closed down on Friday.
Monday should be a nightmare come back

I heard that as well... So where did all these people stay until 6am??? Hotel in Ajo or just camp in car outside border fence in Lukeville????!!! SOOOOOO ROUGH!!!! I would have been RAGING. I have no patience any more. How long was the back up at the FILTER??? I saw that there was another back up again this morning that looked to be substantial. @ 640am looked to be a mile approximately.... What a nightmare!!!! This is getting to be a joke at this point. I want to know if there are any reports of fake positives on the fake tests. I like how they take the filter down next week. WHO MAKES THESE DECISIONS???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seems like there were plenty who chose staying in their cars and more trying to find lodging.
Ajo motels were full early so some people went to Gila Bend and rented a room, some people went home.
I also heard a few drove to Yuma and went thru San Luis- El Golfo - Penasco which added another 6 1/2 hour drive.
Doing this at night over a route I wasn't familiar with, I would have rented in GB or gone home
and tried again early Sat.
I bet there was some partying on 85 to pass some time and work off some anger from getting stuck there for the night.

When the banana boat strikes back another family's story (from facebook)

Today was supposed to be a great day back to semi normality at Playa bonita resort. My family I decided to spend a weekend here with our family. After a long line at a Friday night of September 4th we finally made it, and started our day at the playa Bonita beach, since 10am, today September 5th. When we arrived all sales people were giving us great deals on their sales. After banana guy gave us a great deal of 5dls per person or 100 pesos per person, we said maybe later. After like 5 hours into our day we decided we will take the deal, the banana guy did not want to honor the sale. We said it’s ok we won’t do it. Later in the day the guy apologize and we all end up on the ride, all 9 of us had a great experience at the banana ride. One of the banana workers got into my face and asked why I was saying he said he gave us a deal and he did not like it, he was very aggressive and things got out of hands, my husband and him got into it, and the cops had to be involved. I want you guys to know about the incident we were treated very poorly and wanted you guys to know so you don’t use their services, cops did not help much. But felt like you should know, how awful they were. Be careful, the price of service was not as important the problem caused by this individual was very disgraceful, the experience for my kids and family was awful. My kids witnessed the hole incident and were crying, this was supposed to be a great vacation after a pandemic. Please make sure you watch out for them. I’m sooo sad this happened to us, we are such a hard working family that was happy to finally go and have fun, and this happens.

We know there is no WATER SUPPLY in the Old Port but was it NECESSARY TO TRESPASS PRIVATE PROPERTY, DOING DAMAGE AND EVEN THREAT US JUST TO SUPPLY TEKILAS BAR WITH A WATER PIPE?
If you will only ask for permission we will give it to you, as fellow business owners desperate for water.
But you:
1. Entered without permission to our property, occupied several parking spots for our clients.
2. Left the parking lot a MESS.
3. Damage the ceiling.
4. And FINALLY bring your thugs to intimidate us??????

It is unacceptable and we are very disappointed of a business that we were proud of to be in the Old Port to behave like that.

Did the employee get fired, that's the only way to resolve that. If not then that type of thing will always happen because your employees are a representation of you and your business and what it stands for. If it were my employees they would be fired and money taken from their pay to repair damages.

What got me was when he said he is not responsible for his employees actions (the post has since deleted so I cannot give you the exact words)

Poor state of the Puerto Peñasco road - El Golfo causes accidents and damage to vehicles

* Huge potholes put travelers' lives at risk

By: Héctor Aldrete Germán

The poor condition of a section of the Puerto Peñasco - El Golfo de Santa Clara highway wreaked havoc on motorists who drove through it this weekend, causing damage to their vehicles, such as "blown" tires, damaged axles, among other damage. endangering the lives of travelers.
Just yesterday Sunday, at least a score of vehicles suffered various damages due to the large potholes that have formed in the asphalt tape of this road, being stranded in an area that also does not have a telephone signal, and added to the high temperatures, worsened their situation by seeking some help.
It is at the height of kilometer 50 towards the Gulf of Santa Clara where the high risk areas begin to appear before the huge “craters” that have been formed over time and that receive little attention from the Junta State Roads, responsible for maintaining the roads.

This weekend the "Labor Day" holiday period was celebrated in the United States, so thousands of people traveled along this highway from various parts of the neighboring country, as well as travelers of Mexican origin who also took advantage of the weekend. week to visit this tourist destination.

Not surprised. As said earlier, it's day by day at the port right now because of the constant strong south winds.

Breaks the longstanding tradition of a solid blow for three straight days, then you'd get a couple of days where it would all lay down and was great for fishing. Right now, those windows aren't there, just blow blow blow your boat.

I can't remember another summer where we had a high pressure dome sit on the state the whole summer. It never shifted to the East at all to allow the southerly flow of moisture. I swear to god and I think I can prove this if I can find the measuring station that's a couple of streets over from me on 16th st and Glendale but my condo only received 1/10" of rain this entire summer. I bet it's been 135 days approximately since I received measurable rain at this condo. A couple of weeks ago when central Phoenix and Sky Harbor finally got measurable precip my condo got the 1/10" but if you look at rain stations/gauges from 16th st and Missouri (1.75 miles away) they received almost an inch or about an inch. Just a weird summer. I really can't remember another one even remotely similar. No moisture, no rain and UNGODLY hot temps! Think about this, we had over 3 more weeks of 110+ days this summer!!! Just UNREAL!
