I said their system is inferior, not their product. It's only in retrospect that realized this whole thing could've been avoided. It's the same with our internal process at our office. We had no idea where the gaps were until we were in the problem. I should have known and am paying the price for that.
Rosy, you are going to have to do a better job of keeping your story straight... you mentioned that ACE offers Hydro and Mapfre no longer does. For a coastal community, that would tell me that Mapfre's product is inferior for a major coverage. You then said this regarding the comparison of both carriers... A few years ago they up and decided to no longer offer HYDRO coverage. This created a problem for some of our clients. Claims have been taking too long to process and of course we bear the brunt of the client's frustration. Other carriers such as ACE are written in English, paid directly to the underwriter with a credit card number and is the policy we've found to be most like policies in the U.S.
Sounds to me like ACE has a better product... So again, why place your clients with a carrier that is offering inferior billing, service, translation and coverage? Especially to those clients that had no coverage or had made up policies?

That may be, but not everyone is interested in Hydro coverage. I consider it a matter of preference. In an earlier post i added the amount of time it's taken to settle claims. There's no question that some claims take too long.
Rosy, 'Glover' is not your last name, is it? If not, how did you come up with that name?
So you say "Civic duty. When you see something wrong, I hope most of you would stand up and not just stand on the sidelines and side with someone simply because you know them."
By posting this banter you are losing credibility (with me) and showing there is more to it than "Civic duty".
Anyone know who has best rate for driver licence policy? driving my harley down for bike run. Only bring bike down 3- 4 times a year.
I use costco for my car insurance, They offer a great yearly Sonora Only plan. Make sure you checkmark Sonora only, when getting a quote. It goes through https://www.bonitawest.com/Costco/frm_Home.asp with a nice discount for being a costco member. Haven't found a better rate in years.
Not sure about motorcycles though.

Thanks for the Sonora Only tip. I did a little research yesterday. Not all carriers offer the drivers license policy for motorcycles. ACE and HDI do not offer it, Mapfre does.
I noticed on my Spanish front sheet of my new ACE home insurance policy from ProAlliance an 800 number to call for claims. I called it but was unable to reach and talk to anyone because you needed a code to punch in. I wanted a number to ACE directly for my information. Numerous calls to Mexico City and Hermosillo resulted in my being connected with International Insurance Group of Flagstaff Arizona who ProAlliance uses to get the ACE policies. I was able to get a paid receipt and a policy in English. Also I was told that next year I could go directly to them to have my policy reissued. Their web site is www.IIGINS.com and their phone number is 877 784 6787 I spoke with LIsa Taylor who was very helpful and informative as to every product they can write in Mexico. I wanted to just pass this information to everyone as I stated I was looking for resources outside of Penasco.

Jezz. Lisa cuts out the local person...will she drive down from Flag at 6 am if a burglary ring knocks off your condo? You drive drunk into A road sign? Local help...as Kenny and I found out in Y Greiga a few years ago is very helpful

Excellent, but will Lisa Taylor be there in Mexico to assist you in the event of an incident that warrants a claim? Is on location service of value to you? Are you aware of what an incident in Mexico potentially involves? You're not in Kansas anymore, I can assure you of that.

ProAlliance is still the agent down there however you can pay them directly and not have to worry for any of your policies that payment is not received.

Only one dog and I didn't have insurance from Rosie on that particular trip. My agent made a quick trip down from Caborca and everything went great. A $25 dollar fine and a little money to the cop for the use of his cell phone after the fine was paid at the station, not before.
It's a wonder he can remember his own name!
What???? I remember you from a while ago. sorry my friend, I have had members on this forum visit one of my offices in northern arizona.
The developers did rip off owners at Las Palomas... what's your question?
My 2 units are for sale at Las Palomas, so I won't enjoy it as much.
Developers did rip off owners a
dry heat said in earlier post he own no property in Mexico? just had auto insurance? now he has 2? Reviews his fabrications?
What ever happened to the concern over the lack of payment and canceled policies without the owners knowledge? I have yet to know what really happened for 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 policies that I paid for. Seems like now this thread has ended up like so many in the past.
Regardless of what insurer yu pick skip the vacation home insurance...sort of a suckers game anyway and put the premium money on the Redskins plus points on Monday Night Football.
Mrs Rosie was quite defensive in her posts 389 and 396.
My last post was 384. Since then I have still not rec'd any info that I have the insurance I paid Mrs Rosie for. So far everyone at the Insurance companies I called says they are confused about the policy number I gave them, and they are looking into it.
I want to take my 3 boys to Rocky Point for Thanksgiving, but I'm afraid if I don't have any insurance for my car.
I thought Mrs Rosie would have explained about all the no paid policies and the fake policies by now. Please, Mrs Rosie, tell us immediately non of this is true and we all have real insurance.
If you want to verify the status of a drivers license policy or vehicle insurance policy, you can contact the following to find out (International Insurance Group)... [email protected]

Yeah, but you forgot to mention they should report back to this forum with the findings...
I have not been able to verify my DL policy. I have called the company and they indicate that their policy numbers do not have a numbering sequence as shown on the paperwork in my possession. They are also unable to pull up any policy by my name. I am not stating that there is not a policy, but it does concern me that they are unable to find me in their system and that this is the toll-free number I am provided to call in the event of an emergency or claim.
If you are reporting something negative can you provide please more detailed information? Who is the agent, what Insurance Company and then i.e. I called (number) on (date) I talked to (name) about (what type of policy) and then what did they say. Providing that information helps me (us) to believe there is merit to your post. I (we) do want to know if there is a problem.
Its way too easy to post wrong, inaccurate and totally factious information that that not only hurts someone’s business but affects all of us who have policies and are trying to figure out the truth.

Were your concerns addressed or are you still in limbo? Don't understand how others did not have insurance on there condo and come to find out on here that it was cancelled and they're fine with that. I know a few of these people are joined at the hip with P/A, Hope the truth comes out and it ends.

I don't know anyone that said they were fine with it, I'm certainly not. I'm just allowing a company that has always treated me fairly a chance to work through this.

So your policy was cancelled for about a year and they treated you fairly?

Thanks for caring enough about me to question if I am being treated fairly. The answer is yes, many times in the past I was treated fairly. To keep from repeating myself see my post #195. In business and in life things happen, sometimes you make mistakes, sometimes others make mistakes that you are answerable for. All a person can do is accept responsibly and make it right. Again I'm not giving P/A a pass, this is far from over but I am giving sometime for the facts to be gathered and an explanation on what happened.

I am not reporting anything negative. The post was a response to Rosy stating that there were no known issues with a DL policy. I called the insurance company (GNP Seguros) named on my DL policy at their toll-free Mexican number (01-800-026-5110) and was advised that they are unable to find a policy with my name. The policy in my possession has both a master number and a policy number. The agent on the phone indicated that the policy number I provided was not a sequence of numbers they are familiar with. I asked them to search the database by name and they were unable to find a policy with my name. They continued to ask for my car's VIN number to which I repeatedly explained that this was a DL policy. In the end they said they do not issue DL policies.
I am not suggesting anything by this information other than asking Rosy to address it.There may be a legitimate reason for this but I felt it is important to address it as I don't want to be having this argument with an insurance company AFTER having an accident. I am not jumping to any conclusions other than addressing her earlier post regarding existing DL policies.
Again I'm not giving P/A a pass, this is far from over but I am giving sometime for the facts to be gathered and an explanation on what happened.
It has now been over a month since this problem was first reported. How long is a fair amount of time for the facts to be gathered and an explanation given? I was hoping that Rosie would have addressed the timeframe by now (given us some kind of a timeframe estimate as to when we will hear her explanation), but what would you say is a fair amount of time?
I doubt if I'm the only one who thinks Az Dan is actually Rosie Glover using a new artistic name. I also doubt if I'm the only one who finds any suggestion these were just mistakes rather ludicrous. Forgetting to pay out money received from dozens of people over several years is a mistake? Taking time to fabricate policy numbers is a mistake?

Don't be ridiculous. Az-Dan has been a regularly contributing member on this forum for a long time, unlike you.
I think it is best to keep the focus on calling the insurance company directly to find out the status of a purchased policy (everything else is just emotions)...
(but what would you say is a fair amount of time?)
I'm not sure. I have found that things move at a very slow pace in Mexico and my first few years of dealing with businesses and issues with doing business in Mexico was very frustrating, things work at a different pace. My question is why the rush? I want answers also but I want the correct answers not speculation.
(I have not been able to verify my DL policy)
Maybe I'm just different. Thanks to dry heat bring up this problem I checked on my insurance and when I discovered it was cancelled contacted P/A and resolved the problem which took a few days, then I posted the facts. Out of common courtesy to a business I would not first post a problem on social media without giving the business a few days to address the problem. How would you feel if one of your customers had an issue with your services and before you had a chance to discuss it with them they put it out there for everyone to see, fair?
(Az Dan is actually Rosie Glover) that is really funny. I have been posting on this site for many years and I have met many of you. Again this is unfounded, untruthful allegations that does nothing to help us deal with the issues at hand.
So, AZ-Dan... you looked pretty good in that red dress and black haired wig at the Insurance Agents Ball last month in Penasco. :p :p :p
Folks, as the forum admin, I can tell you for certain that AZ-Dan and Rosie ARE NOT the same person. Where do you people even come up with that kind of nonsense? Be like saying me and LadyJeeper are actually the same person. o_O
let's not get distracted with emotions, rumors or online forum games. Its easy to carry a conversation into a completely different topic that has nothing to do with the thread. I think it is more important for clients to call the number above and find out the status of their policy. Both companies are already looking into the situation, however they won't know the extent of the problem if clients don't call or email to find out the status of their policies.

What makes you think I haven’t? Logically a person who has invested many years doing the right things and contributing to the betterment of the community doesn’t start ripping people off. It doesn’t mean it can’t or didn’t happen just logically doesn’t make sense. I was asked about time and I talked about my business experience to explain it and it is oblivions you don’t care about either. I also want to hear “the bad news” all I have asked is for is to please provide more detailed information so that those of us who this really effects can decipher if the post are true facts or just BS from some who have other agendas or maybe some sick way of amusing themselves.

Unbelievable, maybe Northbeach will be settled before we hear the end of this.
Dan, it seems that you're much closer to the reality of this whole episode with your entire post.....especially the last sentence. I truly hope that most people can see through the thin veil of personal vendettas.

Here are our facts - no guesses, no accusations, just the facts:
1. Two separate condo/homeowner policies with Mapfre through ProAlliance 7 months apart. Neither was paid, and both policies were cancelled without any notification to us from the insurance carrier or from Rosy.
2. Contacted Rosy when this info first came to light (about a month ago now) and she indicated that our policies were paid, and we were fine.
3. Contacted Mapfre directly after hearing from another homeowner that their policy was invalid (about 2 weeks after speaking with Rosy) - and was told that our policies had been issued, but never paid, and therefore cancelled.
4. Contacted Rosy to ask about this, and she said she was doing an audit, but hadn't gotten to our policies yet (the reason we hadn't been notified) and she offered us new policies or a refund - we took the refund. At that point she lost our confidence.
5. I have been trying to confirm that our Auto Insurance is valid - Rosy says it is, but since she also initially said our homeowners policies were fine, I would like confirmation from the carrier. They have been unable / unwilling to confirm. No response to emails, no response to phone calls, and finally someone in the claims department told me that they couldn't provide that information. Doesn't mean they aren't valid, just means I have no way of finding out unless I make a claim.
6. Received refund for homeowners policy from Rosy about a week ago.
The only reason I posted this in this thread was just to inform others that they should check their policies. I believe that's the benefit of these types of forums, to share information that may be important / helpful to others.
Rosy - if you would like to discuss any of our specific policy info with me, I prefer you do it via PM or email, not on a public forum. Thank you.
I would suggest anyone claiming to be looking for proof read back to Oct 12,13and 14 in this forum. Rosie Glover admitted receiving money into her personal account and not sending it to the insurer, resulting in the client having no insurance. Rosie Glover has also admitted receiving money into her personal account and phoney made-up policy numbers were created, resulting in the client having no insurance.
She promised details, including who in her office was responsible ( if not her alone). She promised refunds, and admitted all the money that did not belong to her was gone. We have heard no details in over a month. A few apparently got a cash refund of money she used for her own purposes for a year or more .

What a mess! The facts are clear the insurance company is incompetent. I'm glad nobody lost their home or spent time in jail over this mess. Thanks to this forum I think that may have been avoided.

Everyone seems to agree that it is prudent to check on policies so I made a call to the number on my policy. My DL policy from PA is active over the dates on the paper policy I got.
We have had our homeowners insurance with Portugal for 13 years. Never a problem, but never had a claim. Renewed in June, on time, $827 check payable to General de Seguros, SAB, mailed to a PO Box in Lukeville. Received a paid in full receipt from Portugal a few weeks later & confirmed the check had cleared the account. In August we received an expiration notice from Portugal saying if we wanted to renew send $827. Didn't respond since I had documentation of payment. Yesterday received another expiration notice saying policy expired 09/14/14 & if we wanted to renew send $827! Interesting how the expiration date keeps changing on the same policy. Clerical error? Fishing for a double payment? Who knows. Plan to purchase an Ace policy from ProAlliance in June.
Followed the advice posted here as well and emailed General de Seguros about the cancellation notice received about our homeowner's insurance from our agent Portugal Insurance. They responded within 24 hours saying thank you for asking & we will look into it. After a week, no more responses so I emailed them again. No reply whatsoever. Pointless to email them a third time. I have a paid receipt & a cancelled check to back it up so if I have a loss I assume I will suddenly have a policy. Real strange way of doing business! SMH
Due to the some of the informative non-wonderful comments made here, I decided to e-mail GPN.
They verified that my Pro Alliance GPN DL policy is valid. Now I can sleep at night.;)
Another +1 for Pro Alliance.:) I did make the check out to Rosie.
Per Dry Heat and other posts suggested if you have doubt's verify your policies.
I suggest that rather than spewing non-factual crap here,
if you have issues contact Rosie via PA and report the results.
As much as I hate to say it something still isn't right. At first I was on one side of this issue and now I have seen some things and read some things and see some inconsistencies - especially with names. What is up with that? I can't find any of those names in a lot of databases where you would think at least one would show up. Maybe I'm watching too much CSU or cop shows with weird twists but something still isn't right. Maybe I'm just dumb and I hope I'm wrong.. Time will tell.
Mrs Glover says no one has any reason to worry about trusting her with collecting money and putting into place something so very important as insurance. Therefore, I don't think a bit of a background check is out of line on someone so many want and need to trust. We all know even the lowest tier employee in any financial institution would be subject to a much more stringent background check than this:
She said earlier she had been a realtor and had owned a newspaper, and she mentioned Idaho and Texas. We request more information:
1. what was the name of the real estate company for whom you worked?
2. where was it located?
3. by what name were you known at the real estate office?
4. what was the name of the newspaper, and where was it headquartered?
5. do you have any misdemeanor or felony arrests or convictions ?
6. in what towns or cities in Idaho and Texas, or any other state, have you resided?
7. can you provide the names of 2 or more references in USA who can vouch for your business history?

5. do you have any misdemeanor or felony arrests or convictions ?
6. in what towns or cities in Idaho and Texas, or any other state, have you resided?
7. can you provide the names of 2 or more references in USA who can vouch for your business history?
I'm thinking someone has been watching too much, Blacklist, CSI, ETC, get a grip. Wow is all I can even say!!!!o_O
I didn't think Happy had a beef with Rosie!

It has been over a month Rosie Do you have anymore information for the forum as to what happened with the 2014-2015 policies? I ask because then I would be interested in what happened with my 2013-2014 policy which was cancelled for non payment but I was never notified.
No one has reported any contact from her in 3 weeks. Her silence is disturbing if she is innocent. If she is working hard on her audits to make amends to her clients she took a lot of money from I think she would have told us long before now.
If anyone knows she is still in Rocky Point please let us all know so folks don't conclude the worst about recovering any of their losses.
Rosie Glover: you were a pillar of the community. Where are you, and what are you doing?
I wrote an email to an English speaking agent at Portugal asking for an appointment to discuss and get a quote for Home owners insurance. The agent never responded, I sent a second email, no response. The person referring the agent spoke to her and assured me she was working all week. Terrible service to say the least. Guess I'll just walk in and see what's up. In 7 years I've never heard a good thing about them except their policies are cheaper than anyone else. I have always believed you get what you pay for?
Been with Proalliance for 7 years, plan to stick with them.
I don't plan on using either one of them when it's time to renew our condo policy. I'll look into using Yolanda Silva. If that doesn't work out, then I'll look to go outside of Rocky Point.
Playaperro, who did you finally end up going with for your DL policy?
Have not bought the DL yet but im going with Yolanda Silva too, Portugal has Millions to cover his ass for policy's he does not run thru the insurance company's Poor alliance is NOT for me. I DON'T THINK they will give me a free policy that i would of paid for.
Thanks for the great news Perro. If I needed you for a client I'd consider that bottom of the barrel for sure.
I pointed out in a previous post that I'm not capable of leaving my clients in the lurch without recompense. Read the emails of support, these are decent and fair people, some of whom have had first hand experience with our Visitor Assistance. You gremlins, who have NEVER been clients (in your case specifically) have been knocking me for years and are all over this. Have at it, but I will continue to do what I'm doing to overcome this.
By the way, the muli-headed joan, like you, continues to unwittingly send me more new clients daily. For that, I thank you both.
My clients on this forum have let me know they consider private communication preferable. If the rest of you have specific non-invasive, non-offensive questions, you may expect the answers in this forum...but in MY timeframe. Unlike these basement-dwellers, I have a life.

I know it's hard but you need to get thicker skin and don't respond to personal attacks you gain nothing. Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience. Just stick to the facts.
So I guess if I say you sound like an arrogant bitch you should have a line of customers around the block today :)
Why would you say this? How does personal attacks help do anything? As I have said before many of us take this seriously and would greatly appreciate those of you that just want throw BS go somewhere please.

Ahh!! the depth's that people will fall down to, the last time I saw Rosie she had 2 legs and it usually takes 4 legs to be classified as a female dog.
Here is a description of the offensive word used above just to clarify how poorly it was used to describe Rosie. Also my experience with them.
bitch (bch) n. 1. A female canine animal, especially a dog. - I love Doggies!
2. Offensive - More than a few of the posts on this forum a. A woman considered to be spiteful or overbearing. - I've know a few b. A lewd woman. - Wish I knew a few more
c. A man considered to be weak or contemptible. - Sounds like a few whiners here
3. Slang A complaint. - Ok this might be valid for some of the posters, but Rosie hopefully should be working this out
4. Slang Something very unpleasant or difficult. - More than a few of the posts in this thread.

Nice try Rosa, now go use your concerned moniker, how many you got?

Just my humble opinion. ;)
You got the wrong Bitch, from wiki, A Bitch takes shit from no one. You may not like her, but you cannot ignore her....[bitches] have loud voices and often use them. Bitches are not pretty....Bitches seek their identity strictly thru themselves and what they do. They are subjects, not objects...Often they do dominate other people when roles are not available to them which more creatively sublimate their energies and utilize their capabilities.

HA HA HA HA! Jezz, I can't agree with any of the above quote. But then I'm just a nice person to begin with.
This thread and a few others here, have made many RPT followers go away, More than a few posters haven't been seen here for awhile now.
It's become more about the noise rather than good information. Sad.:(

Post something positive....then watch what happens. The negative trailer trash is a stronger voice than the positive - it is like this on every forum, then if the moderator steps in to clean it up he is called a nazi. Forums are double edged swords, but if you dig deep enough you may find some truth. Just because someone doesn't post here doesn't mean they don't read everything posted everyday of the week. They just don't want to have their opinions shot down by keyboard warriors! Fire away I can take it!

Hi Joan, I learned during my first, very abusive marriage that being called an arrogant bitch just tells me that I'm dealing with someone who prefers women (or Mexicans) subservient, hat in hand and with a lesser capacity to hold her own.
And to respond to your comment...yes, for every man who thinks he can label a woman because he deems himself an expert there are at least 2 women who've been prevoiusly mislabeled. Some of them read this forum. Do the math, MachoMan.
Oh, and after re-reading your post I realize you aren't Joan at all. At least you can string a sentence together, and while devoid of wit, originality and insight (difficiencies common in misogynists...just sayin') at least the sentence is properly strung.

Dan, Fatboy and Broken:
Dan, you're right but once more I succumbed to the stupidity of inquiries that I haven't been seen in weeks.
Rosanne, I had a family emergency 3 weeks ago in California and have been battling bronchitis since then. I expect we'll have an idea on the previous year in the next 2 weeks. Sometimes just trying to keep current on emails is too much. If I don't respond, it doesn't mean I've left town.
BW: thanks for the levity. I'll try not to join in when I see a some slinging crap.

Trailer trash? Feels good to put yourself above other people Russ? Well that statement just took you a notch lower.
