I saw a few posts about this awhile ago and was wondering if anybody has the navi gold xl9 chip? I was at cabelas and i put the 2006 chip they had in a lowrance unit and it was awesome, for reefs and contours and depth, but did not think to look at northern cortez.

As of last year, (last time I spoke to the folks at Navionics) the sea of Cortez showed very little detail simply because no one has charted it.

I have the chip but it doesn't really add anything to the unit

I also have it and would not spend the bucks again if it is only for The Sea of Cortez.
