Driving to Rocky Point at night

I was driving back to Rocky Point from Sonoita about 2 weeks ago, at night. It was the first time I had ever done this. I was a bit concerned because of no lights on the highway, except my car lights.

I was pleasantly surprised that the center line illuminated markers go all the way along the highway from Sonoita to rocky point!

It was a strange sensation, driving in pitch blackness, with just the line illuminated markers. It somehow felt to me like driving in space!

I've traveled at night many times until recently.
Bright lights on as much as possible and watch out for the critters.
I actually installed some really bright Halogen bulbs before they became standard on cars 20 years ago.
Have seen 2 car vs cattle accidents over the years. Bad situations.
If you stop, get out and look at the stars you will see many more than you can see from cities, pretty amazing.

Drove from El Golfo to Puerto Penasco at night after they freshly repaved the road but before they striped it. You don't realize how much you rely on the lines for the curves.
