Fiesta de Cortez

There is some action regarding the Fiesta de Cortez, the complex not being completed, and people unable to get their deposits back. It sounds like there is going to be a "happy ending" if there is such a thing when you're out money/and or time to enjoy your condo. Anyway, another project in the Mirador is being completed- interesting.

It was originally reported in January 2008 in the Arizona Daily Star, but I can't pull that article up.

I have heard that this is owned by the father of the owner of the Mayan . ?? They were housing Mayan employees in one of the buildings at one time.

If you read the second link, it says Daniel Chavez has taken back control: "Fast forward to 2011: Whew! Word on the street is that Daniel Chavez Moran/Mayan Palace has taken control of the Fiesta de Cortez again (what IS it called these days?), and plans are reportedly being made to fix everything there (and boy oh boy do things need fixing!)." And it sounds like some people are getting their money back. I think it's interesting we've heard in the past week that 2 projects in the Mirador are getting completed- is there something better coming or is it coincidence? Let the chismes begin, or not.
