Line Coming Into Mexico 9 Miles Long on 5/26/23

They need to figure out how to get a large group of people through the 2 lane bottleneck ( along with the US side returning) on holiday weekends.
I heard the Mexican Aduana's were checking almost every car going thru.
The extra inspection would explain the long line coming in.
I've seen 5 mile long lines before but never 7-9 mile lines.
The US inspection has been better with 4-5 lanes open for the past 6 months,
keeping the waits under 2-3 hours vs the 5-6 hour waits I've been in 2x. I always go 1 day early
and leave 1-2 days after the crowds do to prevent that for me.

We left Rocky Point Friday the 26th. Got to the US checkpoint at 11:45 am. Checked the odometer. The line was 5.7 miles long, with heavy traffic heading south between the border and Wye. From Wye to Tucson the traffic was fairly light.

Crossed today Sunday and of course almost no one going south.

The 4 cars about to get tickets speeding down the hillI into Sonoyta I H beamed….pay it forward

the traffic headed north at 11am wasnt to bad but damn did I get a scare from a truck guy passing 3 cars….nice to be alive but had move into emergency lane…shat!

the amount of land cleared across from the Mayan for the solar mega project is just amazing. It must be a sq. mile!

Windy !
I would guess 20 mph

The US border had 6 lanes open on Monday, 1 of the 2 south lanes was used to go north.
The first time my fiend ever saw that.
Wait times were mostly under 1.5 hours as the US agents were asking minimal questions.

We crossed back into the FUSA yesterday at the San Luis Port of Entry at around 4 PM. Wait time in the Sentri lane was less than two minutes. The other two lanes were at least two miles long.

Going in to Me-He-Ko on Thursday afternoon was a one hour wait then just a wave thru by the Guardia National. Went thru a heavy handed check point at the El Golfo turnoff with three twin machine gun mounted armored trucks and all of the Guardia National soldier dudes in full body armor and ballistic helmets with carbines at the ready. Just waved us thru. On the way back the check point at El Doktor had lots of armed up La Gardia soldiers but again just waved us thru.

Road time from our casita in Mirador to the barn in Yuma was TWO HOURS! My average speed on the Coastal Hwy was 110 mph. More Calipornia tourist cars than we have ever seen. Ten or more with blowouts and broken axles from the chuck holes. Silly fucks think they can follow right behind me totally blind to the road hazards as in flying rocks, gravel and a sand storm.

Also Broken, I would like to meet your "fiend". What's his gig......blood, meat, females or all combined? I'd like to spit some Beechwood in that dudes eyes then shoot him with my old forty five.

So whats your hurry grandpa?
Note for people pulling stuff toward Lobos on the Coastal Highway. They were stopping big trucks pulling toy trailers and demanding 200 or turning you back to Sonoyta to get some type of frieght permit. My neighbor from Utah with4 seperate rigs sat negoriating with them for an hour…$800 became $200 but still …..

His depends was failing. As we get older we tend to loose our bodily functions. I’m not speaking from experience it’s something I picked up watching Marcus Welby.

I was watching Andy of Mayberry a week ago. If it was moved to modern times Barney would kill Otis in a choke hold rather than his tv MO (provide him a nice bed and coffee in the morning.). Barney also dressed in transgender wear on occasion https://www.metv.com/stories/opies-friend-joey-reached-out-decades-later-to-remember-that-time-don-knotts-dressed-up-as-an-old-lady
