Mexico may consider charging a fee for Americans entering

Heard this on the local radio, and decided to look it up. It is fascinating how clueless these Mexicans politicians are about how tourism works. How could they be so stupid? Americans going into Mexico to spend their money helps Mexico and hurts the USA. Why would you fee these people? Then Americans will spend the money in the USA and help grow US economy instead of Mexico's.
Same with Mexican border officials hassling American tourists.

A top Mexican official on Tuesday said that Mexico may consider charging a fee for Americans entering the country in what could be seen as a retaliation to President Trump's call for a border wall.

Foreign Secretary Luis Videgaray, in a meeting with Mexico's top legislators, called Trump's plan an "unfriendly, hostile" act, and called on his colleagues to consider the entry fee.

I highly doubt Mexico would implement this plan, but if they did, you better believe President Trump would do the same thing to people entering the US. He would probably double what the Mexicans charge and only rescind it once Mexico did.
