A visitor staying in the Mirador at San Rafael had his dog walk off yesterday in the morning. He continues to search for him. A red Heeler, 8 months old, 25-30 pounds, wearing a blue collar with his name and owner's phone number (520-488-6837)
Dog was spotted yesterday in the area nothing today. Should you find him, call Rick at the number above or my cell at 638-110-1629. Will have a photo to post shortly and we are making a flier to distribute.

What a handsome dog. Hope he is safe and found soon.

Burt is still missing.

Still here looking and passing out fliers. Thanks to everyone for keeping a lookout.

A ton of years ago (maybe 30 or so) my daughter's puppy wandered off - we went to the radio station and they put out an alert for us and by the time we got back to the Villa Granada someone who heard the radio appeal had brought the puppy to Louisa at the Villa Granada.
Burts dad
No luck. Back in Tucson and will be back friday to continue my search. I have not been able to make contact with the radio station. Does anyone have a email? Such a terrible feeling to leave with out him. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did he have his collar on?
Burts dad
Yes he has a blue collar with a bone shaped tag that has my phone # and his name. I contacted Nancy and got some good information. However she has not seen him. I would be very interested in the cable tv add . That sounds like a great idea. I will see what I can find online or if anyone has info on how to do a ad it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much. Your help means everything

Of course I will. Did you get a flyer made up? If so, please send to me at [email protected] and I'll get the info to the radio station and ask that they run it. Let me know if he isn't found by Saturday and I'll make sure I give it plenty of attention during the Ramblings. So, am I right that the pup's name is Burt? FYI, the RadioRama business office phone number is: 638.383.6826 Enrique Otanez is general manager and he does speak English. I'm upset (this will be no surprise to some of you who know me) because I dropped my laptop and broke it, and of course hadn't backed up my contacts. Now I'm starting from scratch and don't remember Enrique's email address. Call him or email me and we'll get this on the air.

Nice looking pooch...hope he gets found soon!

Small reward will help, My buddies she~wa~wa took off from the casa blancas condo's and it was found at the round about at the end of samuel ocana circle K which is an off brand store now. He did get it out on the radio with a 300 dollar reward and i think even the d/j working went out looking for it. 100 dollars buys allot of beans and rice.

? Are you saying Burt has been found?
playaperro
Nope, he has NOT been found!
Burts dad
I am more than willing to pay a reward. Not sure how much to offer. Nancy recommended I dont offer more than $50. Not sure why. I would think $ 200 should be a good incentive. Any advice?
Burts dad
I have decided to offer a 200 dollar reward. I sure hope this helps. As I have been driving through town I see a lot of street dogs. I have been feeding a lot of them. Hopefully this will create a lot of good dog karma. Its terrible to see so many starving and sick. it sure has been a good eye opener. I will definitely be trying to contribute to the shelters in Penasco in the future. A part of Rocky Point that I have never paid attention to prior to this.
playaperro
Yes, also go to police station and leave info at the front desk so they can inform all police on patrol if you can!
Terry C
Burts Dad, you may already know this but, per Nancy Phelan, the clinic will be Nov 30th and Dec 1st at a new location to be announced soon. It will not be at shrimp park.
Burts dad
Thanks for the info. Bringing food down for the shelter tommorow. Hopefully I will get a chance to meet her

Better to buy dog food here as the probability of having it confiscated at the border is very high. If the Ag. inspector is on duty they will take it.
happygirl
has the dog been found? we have a house in the Mirador and friends too, so we will put the word out to them
Terry C
No, it has not
Roberto
Anyone needing information or some help contact me at the Twin Dolphins Office on Fremont.

Any news on the dog?
Hpclauges
No news on Burt yet. And it's OK if someone said something to Burt's dad (also my dad).... We'll take one not-so-nice person with the hundreds of wonderful people helping us. I reached out to some of the rescues I work with in Tucson and a poster of Burt spread like wildfire. He's down there now looking for Burt and bringing some food to the dogs on the street and shelters.... Thank you for everyone helping find Burt, I know my dad is so appreciative.
Hpclauges
Oh, Also, if you have a facebook and would like to post the flyer please do.BURT.jpg

Burt's Dad is here in Penasco now. Just visited with him. Anyone with news can contact him at San Rafael or me at Twin Dolphins.

SOMEONE PLEASE LET MY DAD KNOW THIS! :: Omar Tirado said someone posted online (via facebook) about seeing Burt a few days ago. I'm attempting to find more out now. But this gives us hope!!! :) I'm in tucson and having trouble contacting him.
Hpclauges
They said he looks fine, but confused and scared. I'm sure hungry. Thanks everyone!!!!

Would you like to stop by the radio station during my show? I've mentioned it, but perhaps a personal appeal from you would get more people's attention. If you think it'll help, let me know. Wish I could do more, Rick.
Burts dad
Thank you so much Rosie. you have been a great help. The community as a hole has been a tremendous support. Thank you all. I still have hope, however I am starting to feel a bit discouraged. I am planning on hitting town with a new stack of flyers and a couple new rolls of tape. Hopefully it will jar something loose
Ladyjeeper
Burt's dad, take Rosie up on her offer... Every bit of exposure helps! I'm keeping your family and Burt in my prayers.....

I understand, Rick, but you can't let yourself become discouraged. How many times have we read stories about dogs who live crazy experiences and yet find their way back home? I want to believe Burt will be one of these. You'll be in town anyway, might as well stop by the station. Roberto knows exactly where we are. Right down the street from him, in fact.
