| Authorizes Cabildo to rename Blvd Fremont to Blvd DR. Francisco Javier Carrillo Ruíz Posted: 05 Aug 2020 04:19 AM PDT PUERTO PEASCO.- By giving his life performing his role as director of the Municipal Civil Protection unit and firefighters in the safeguarding of the Rock-sport society amid the Pandemic of Covid-19, and, for their long professional career with altruistic actions in the field of health, members of Cabildo approved the change of nomenclature from Blvd Fremont to Blvd Dr. Francisco Javier Carrillo Ruiz, during the ordinary session number 24, on July 29. Mayor Kiko Munro thanked the body for this approval, where he emphasized that "once the late Doctor Francisco Javier Carrillo Ruíz adopted the city of Puerto Peñasco as his home, Puerto Peñasco adopted him as one of its citizens who provided the most services in favor of the community. He emphasized that, at the request of the citizen Isabel Cristina Ledezma was where the decision was made to give this recognition to the long professional and citizen career in the Municipality of Puerto Peñasco, by changing the name to said boulevard. |
