Rocky Point to Mexicali

I love the new coastal route and toll road from Rocky Point to Lan Luis. I would like to try the road to Mexicali, which I hear is a little faster to California. Anyone know which turnoff I would take to get to Mexicali off of the main road?

take the highway 3 north past the San luis cut off coming from El
Golfo de Santa Clara to the town of riito then take highway west to highway five. the trip through riito is kind of confusing but if you watch the signs you will make it just fine. after you get on 5 you will wind up in Mexicali. the last time we were there they were still working on the main road and we had to make a few detours. took us about an hour to cross the border at Mexicali. we cut about 125 miles off our trip from the mojave desert. the time was almost the same as going the extra mileage because of having to go through small towns and rough roads on hwy 4. very interesting trip and lots of farm land and crops. if you have a garmin gps it is fairly accurate to el golfo. to enter el golfo you have to enter el golfo de santa clara
