In case anyone noticed the smoke coming from Sandy Beach today, it was a 5th wheel rv. Burnt to the axles. Nobody was in it at the time. Nobody was hurt.
If you own one you should swap out the Halogen Puck Lights for LEDs...eBay has the kits. The halogen if left on will cause a fire. http://www.prudentrver.com/ledlamps.html. I put them in my 1972 Airstream ( when trailers were trailers). Great light too...way less heat
This was all at the Reef rv park. Nobody is a hundred per cent sure, but the first ones there saw flames coming out of the water heater area. I spoke with the relatives that were traveling with them and he thought that there might have been a problem with the water heater earlier but not sure. It was an older 5th wheel parked in front of a 2003 Tiffin Phaeton rv. Both of the families were at church. The fire moved quickly in the wind and both rv's and the pull truck for the 5th wheel trailer were locked, so nobody could move any of them. Alot of us got hand held fire extinquishers but not much good. The workers prbly saved the 2003 rv cause they sprayed water on the front . They took up a collection for the 5th wheel folks. I made them a video for insurance if any. Apparently they are from Salt Lake Utah area. http://tinypic.com/r/95xvn4/6]View Hopeflly the video works
