Taking a Dish receiver box to Puerto Penasco

Got another box from Dish. Does anyone know the process for getting a dish installed down there and hooking up my new box? Do I have to have it "activated" up here first? I hear there are companies that do this down there but I don't have any names... Help please?

We can assist with this. We just installed our new Directv system with whole home DVR (we also do Dish Network). FYI - The box must be activated in the U.S. and it can NOT be connected to the internet or you risk giving up your location. You will need a dish and a receiver tied to your existing account in the United States. Send us a private message for contact information. Thanks.

We activated our Direct TV in the US; bought a dish off ebay and had it installed down here. Works great.

I bring my Directv box from GV and swap it out with the Direct receiver at the rental. When I leave, I re-swap.

I don't get the Tucson local channels but I get the sports channels and all the Age 70+ Porn Channels so it keeps me out of the bars and joints at night.

I read on here there is a guy up in Ajo who will handle all that installation and stuff for you.

We put a Dish up but had some problems getting it tuned correctly. Called a guy in RP and he brought out a box to tune the dish. Haven't had a problem since and that was 4 yrs ago. Since we are coming from Texas we have to call Dish and tell them we are in Phoenix and they switch the service. get the phoenix local channels then plus all the Dish stuff

On the older systems it is ok to use either providers dish on either system. Now with the new Hi def systems to avoid problems you should get the same brand dish as your carrier. Craig's list and Ebay are good sources.
