Why I Don't Swim with the Whales, Dolphins or Sealions...

I used to swim with the sea lions out at bird island. They could undoubtedly do some damage with their teeth, but they seemed quite friendly. I'd just never let them have a chance to get at any of my extremities just in case they changed their minds. I wasn't real comfortable with them, but it was kind of fun with a friend or two.
After you told me your Bird Island shark story and watching a couple of National Geographic Specials I quit doing it. I look more like a corpulent, slow, albino sea lion to my way of thinking. I like to watch orcas and whales, but I was never motivated to swim with them. I've heard some negative stories about dolphins, but I would definitely swim with dolphins again if given the chance.
