Wine at the duty free?

Can you buy wine at the duty free coming into MX? Better put, do they have wine available to purchase at the duty free? Thanks for the response!

Yes, UETA has wine but the selection is usually pretty limited to a small handful of wines - usually Spanish and Chilean vineyards. There is a great liquor store on the main drag into town (Benito Juarez), immediately past the train tracks on the right (west) side of the street that has a decent supply of wine. Shares a small strip mall with a pharmacia and has a tan/beige sign. Don't remember the name.

The name is El Crucero (the crossing) Railroad crossing and Benito Juarez! It's next to Farmacia 2000.

When you go you have to go into the wine room to the back of the store on the right side.

The grocery store at Lukeville has a better selection of wine than UETA. They ususally have Francia Merlot, CAb and Chianti in a 5L box for less than $20. Olsen's supermarket in Ajo has a nice selection. And yes, in Penasco El Crucero, the best selection in twon.
