water shortage

Russ I am positive about one thing, you are somewhat confused about what is a positive view and what is denial. From your view it appears that the world is perfect and no change is needed. I think that is denial. Denial is a way to refuse to recognize and take responsibility for problems in your life, in your family's life, in your community's life. All is fine so I can just relax. A rather selfish view that can create monumental problems in society and one's individual life. I believe that you had a monumental issue in your life in which I suspect your denial contributed to. Deny a problem and you do not have to do anything. Entonces your so called positive energy hurts, true. It is an impediment to positive change since your view is no change is necessary. Something perfect requires no change. The only thing that is perfect, unchangeable, is death itself.

I have an image of you watching neighbor's house burn while other throw water on the fire, with the comment ' well it is what it is'. You are just the guy for Emergency Preparedness.

You popping up about an innocuous question is a fine example and illustrates your wish is to stifle any thought about or what you call criticism or possible identification of a problem. Hey problems exist but apparently not in your mind. Take a little responsibility for positive change in the community you profess to love, identify a problem and work toward fixing it and not something like a messed up title that needs to be 'rectified' so you can perform urban renewal and some some money.
Thanks Dr Phil.

I do not think the world is perfect...far from it. I find it confusing when people who do not have a dog in the fight put their 2 cents in as if it was important. As a matter of fact I have had monumental tragedies in my life that I could not control yet had no part in. I am a product of that. That of course is none of your business. Complaining about a problem without the desire to help is pointless. I think I would throw water on my neighbors house if it was on fire. Oh by the way I really can't care less of what you think you know who I am or not. The guy at the top...Kiko Munro is responsible for what goes on in the city, not the gringos that think they know better. I will let him do his job instead of putting some sort of "I am better than you" twist on it.

This discussion reminded me of a fellow whom my mother adored and supported financially. Norman Vincent Peal and his Power of Poistive thinking. An evangelist who taught Positive thinking can overcome anything . That was his mantra. My mother believed in positive thinking to the extent that she stopped taking her heart medicine in a burst of positive energy and she .........died of a heart attack so it was perfect then right.

Don't flatter yourself, Russ. No approval of your incoherent sarcasm was intended.
Personally being a fan of good sarcasm since it can have Positive effects, I would not elevate his comments to this level. Snide come to mind more than sarcastic.

Yes, well since I have never had anything against Russ or positive thinking per se, I toned it down to be nice.

Oooooo too much to respond to.

tragedies in my life that I could not control yet had no part in
Being a believer in personal responsibility rather than blind positivism that is another example of denial. a Victim of circumstances. Do you deny it??? Ja ja ja ja

I think I would
Ah. so you Think you would help but you are not sure. Have to analyze the positive aspects. Thinking positive, it could be all that smoke and fire is from a BBQ.

Oh by the way I really can't care less of what you think
If you could care less why are you responding here? Do as you say and mind your own business. I guess the simple question of how many valves are available, without any negative comment was way above your level of understanding. Actually is smacks a bit of Paranoia. Reference to self from simple comments.

Oh well time for a nap, I am positive about that.

There's one 4" water line coming into Cholla and one valve to fill trucks. (drivers have to record their water usage to pay later)
If the water flow is good a truck can be filled in 30 minutes or so.
But lately it's pretty slow and when the resorts are full it takes hours to fill one truck.
Thank you for your answer to a relatively simple question that some have problems giving.

Russ, Thanks for the entertainment. It was looking like another boring day searching for sand dollars on the beach. Hot out there. Hope you have a great day.

So according to you Russ, unless I own property I have no dog in the fight? And if I'm a gringo you think non of my concerns are worth the spit you have for us? Stinks of racism on your part. What does being a gringo, which is offensive in the context you use it, have anything to do with this subject? My question is rhetorical as I'm sure Russ has a negative answer to me as I'm only a tourist with no dog in the game and will not bless the Russ bus with my presents.

Sorry, gringo is not used as a bad word.

The locals (Mexicans and Americans) have to deal with the water problems everyday. The problems have been identified and the people who have the responsibility to handle it know what they are and are doing what they have to to remedy it. It is easy to sit on the sideline and say it should be this way or that way, but in the end if you don't live here and if you don't have any solutions then yes I stand by my "you don't have a dog in the fight".

I am truly sorry if you were offended by my comments, I will be sure to limit my use of possibly negative words in the future, thanks for the heads up!

Oh and on edit....not being sarcastic or anything, I don't need your presents....although your presence may be welcome. Sorry I couldn't help it. Please forgive me.

PS. Somewhere in the 'no dog in the fight' category, people who owned homes in Peñasco but who didn't live there year a round were also not supposed to express an opinion according to Honorary Mayor Russ, as I understood it.
Over and out.

As a foreigner I am not allowed to hold office but thanks! Really though, if Tucson or Phoenix or Chino Valley had a water problem - what would I have to say about that? I do not have a say as I don't live there.

It sounds like Russ just really loves life, see's the glass as more than 1/2 full.
More people need to have that carefree attitude.
But being able to live in Mexico full time would be great, problems and all.
It's all good. Negative "know it alls" have their place too! And yes I do love life!

The Russ permanent resident demographic in Rocky Point...have not figured the percentages yet

Child Support Deadbeats
Run away Teachers with their "nieces"
Contractors dodging Judgments ..
Hard core drunks
Good people living the Jimmy Buffet dream
people given the boot by Homeland Security
novelists...be a good spot to write
painters
golf nuts
runaway brides
criminals

what a sunset party that mix would make

The Jimmy Buffet thing, the painter thing, the novelist thing, the painter thing, the golf thing, yeah that's pretty much it. Not hating everyday is a bonus. The rest of your list is for somebody else, maybe they live here or maybe somewhere else.

Well since you asked, you can choose to say whatever you want .... or nothing if you choose. You can also choose to not read other's posts if they are so upsetting to you because they don't conform to yours. As long as members are conforming to forum rules they can say whatever they want without worrying about whether a forum member agrees or not.
