Blame the messenger, but ignore the message. Typical. I don't watch Fox news, other than some local reporting. I get and read the newspaper everyday. And read a variety of Internet news feeds that are non-partisan. Probably some of the same ones you read.

Again, lame Jerry. Lame.

Venezuela is collapsing under its own weight as I type this. We don't need to play God there. Maduro's days are numbered. I firmly believe the water crisis they are now experiencing will be the straw that breaks his back. The people will rise and take back their country. The protests in the streets are getting larger everyday. It will be bloody, but we don't need to be involved. So much for socialism there.
So what? AMLO is not Maduro

J: I often think of this, most if not all Arab countries are run better by despotic, cruel, inhumane rulers. Has there ever been a peaceful transformation of power in these countries? One more thing: think of the economic miracle Saddam could have developed with all of the oil money and all of the water he had, he could have had the West Germany of the Middle East instead of blowing hundreds of billions on outdated and semi-useless soviet military equipment. And you are correct, if we went in an took out Assad in Syria-which would be very easy, the country would remain even more of a mess than it is right now.

The question remains, “if your neighbor is beating the hell out of his wife how long do you stand around and watch?” Maduro in Venezuela is a good example of someone who needs to be taken out but who plays god?
Well us and the Russians both didn't learn anything and are stuck again in the middle East.Iraq is a semi Iranian proxy and the Talaban rules half of Afganistan. That Trump victory parade looks funnier by the moment. .We need a Marshall plan for central America ( wrecked by Regan)

Sounds good
"HERMOSILLO, Sonora (GH)
Sonora is within the commitments and campaign promises of Andrés Manuel López Obrador, virtual President of Mexico for the period 2018-2024, with specific proposals for the entity.

One of the main ones is the location of the headquarters of the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (Sagarpa) federal in Ciudad Obregón, which will start operating in this location from December 1, 2018.

Another one of the specific points is the special fiscal treatment to the border cities of the State, with a reduction to half of the VAT and a reduction to 20% of the Income Tax, as well as equalize the cost of gasoline to that of the US border cities .

López Obrador also proposed to double the minimum wage in the border area, scholarships for young people with scarce resources and guarantee medical attention to the entire population. "

Plus AMLO backer Anna Gurrera (the ex track star) is now a state senator from nogakes..AP has a bordeline communist mayor..but a hipster through and through....How did Rocky Point not go AMLO?

Morena: Guaymas, San Luis Rio Colorado, Navojoa, Hermosillo, Obregón, Agua Prieta, Nogales, Bacadehuachi, Benjamín Hill, Caborca, Empalme, Etchojoa, Onavas, Pitiqito, Quiriego, San Ignacio Rio Muerto, Soyopa.

"The new scenario where the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) swept with 20 local councils, the seven largest municipalities in the state, the 7 federal councils and the Senate of the Republic, results from a condition of social anger on the one hand and hope on the other, while the re-foundation of the former first forces is raised as a first strategy"

No body guards( might rethink that) and
  • Won't live in Mexico City’s opulent 19th century presidential residence, Los Pinos (the Pines). “I won’t live in a mansion of any kind,” he told a recent gathering on the capital’s hardscrabble outskirts, promising to convert the building into an arts centre “for the Mexican people”.
  • Selling the presidential planeand banning top officials from crisscrossing the country in private jets and helicopters. “All this is going to end … we cannot have a rich government and a poor people,” he said.
  • Slashing his presidential salary and those of what he calls Mexico’s burocracia dorada (golden bureaucracy). “I’m going to earn half what Peña Nieto earns … and we are going to reduce the salaries of those who are on top so we can raise the salaries of those at the bottom,” Amlo pledged. “The teachers will earn more, the nurses, the doctors, the cleaners, the police, the soldiers, the marines ... the campesi

Amlo's rhetoric is typical political crappola. Say what you need to get elected then do the opposite once in office. His comical claim he will reduce the pay at the top to give it to the millions on the bottom is fantasy at best. The establishment, political and otherwise, will do anything/everything to defend their power. Just ask President Trump about that. I predict Amlo will go down in flames and be ousted from office and viewed as a complete failure.

Well, that's optimistic! (sarcasm)

If he becomes adored by the poor as their hero (which is more or less what elected him already), I would worry more about those high on the money/power totem pole taking him out. Especially as Jerry mentioned above, he is refusing bodyguards or living in a protected palace.

Guess we'll see.
