Probably won't catch very many YT but should have plenty sardinero, groupers, pintos, snappers, triggers, etc. Check out Arturo's Diving and Fishing on FaceBook. He posts weekly fishing reports.
just take a rake and a bucket. start raking the sand. when your rake hits something that feels like a rock, BINGO!!! the farther south you go and the deeper you rake, the bigger the clams will be. that at least has been my experience. OR you can just go down to the fish market and buy a bag...
he told me one of his buddies said it had erectile enhancement attributes if consumed raw so he was planning on eating it when he got home to his girlfriend
on Saturday we gave this guy a couple 15 lb YT. he was broke down so we towed him in and only had caught a couple of small fish. on Sunday he caught this. one LUCKY son of a gun!!!
they do not call me The Wolf of WalMart for nothing. HA HA.
not sure what is going on with the pictures. my computer says they are < 500KB and they will not upload.
just got back from my last trip of the year fishing for yellow tail. had a great trip. 4 of us caught 55 YT in 2.5 days of fishing. 15/21/19. we let some go, gave some away and still managed to bring home 200 lbs of fillets. lost several to the tax man!!! we caught them trolling, jigging...
what is there official name? Was looking for them in the IGFA records and could not find them.
It says IGFA record for leopard grouper is 22 lbs. caught in 2002 by someone in Playa Hermosa. Seems like it should be more than 22 lbs.
We did pretty good this last spring on YT in Lobos. Our best weekend was 30 with 22 that averaged 20 lbs. The Sardi numbers are definetly down. Still lots of sierras, bonitas and of course triggers.
??? The orange and green hotel is usable. Flushing toilets and hot water and AC. The mattresses are a little old and I would probably bring my own pillows and sheets next time but a room like this in Lobos with two beds for $33 a night is pretty good in my opinion.
