    There used to be a rental car company that would take you to the border with a driver. You paid for the driver's return drive. Jim Rinquist at the Sonoran Sky knew about it a couple of years ago. He might be able to help. Great guy who has lots of information about lots of things in town!

    We paid about $9000 in 2011. Maintenance for it is about $400 a year. Just what it takes to have a place here. Worth it!!!

    There is an exceptionally helpful woman whose office is on Fremont close to Chef Mickey's. I wish I could remember her name - her building is painted red. She helped us with our Immigration status and was terrific.

    And when we lived on a Caribbean Island the people who provided the ship-sponsored tours made very little money. Most of the payments went to the ship. The 'outings' need to be carefully negotiated with the cruiseline so the people of PP make more of the money.

    Oh wait! They are mandatory in condo buildings. Which brings me back to my original question - how can people simply not pay the HOA dues? Is there recourse for the condo association?
