Before you crucify the people in the left lane...I have seen on many instances that the second lane is opened by the Mexican police. The go the end on the line and instruct cars to form that lane.
Labor day weekend, while swimming at Las Conchas, we kept getting these little black bugs biting us in the water. The bites almost felt like with electric shocks and the bugs were no bigger then fleas.
Anybody know what these were??
They, Border Patrol, told us that they where helping the Mexicans by stopping the flow of cash and guns to the drug cartels...and that its happening at other Port of Entries.
I plan on leaving Tucson friday morning and riding out the storm at our house in Las Conchas. Any thoughts on the power grid? How has it weathered in the past during big storms and how quickly do you think they can repair downed lines?
El Centro is little out of the way...wheres the Telmex office in Rocky Point?
I currently dont have a phone...do i go to the same place to start that? What are the start up costs?
I looked at all the options, Telcel 3G card, Satpuertopenasco, and Telmex. Sounds like Telmex DSL is the best option for us.
Can someone tell me where do I go to get DSL connected to my house in Las Conchas. What do i need...electric bill, address?
Wasn't this place started as condos? I think they didn't sell any, so they converted it to a hotel.

Went for dinner Saturday nite. Only one person waiting tables in a packed resturant. Ramon took everybody to work a wedding in Las Conchas.
Service was great...even with only one person.
Food...only so-so

My AT&T Blackberry works great...actually even better then in the US...both voice and data. The EDGE wireless internet is much faster in Mexico, I think cause of there is less people on it, thus more band with. I'm on the Mexico plan with AT&T...5 bucks a month and something like 60 cents a...
Got to the border at noon...line started just outside of the canopy on the Mexico side...20 min wait.
What's the deal with Customs...its seams that they are intentionally going slow.
