Sounds like Sonoyta must be a hot spot for what ever they are searching cars for.

Federales still checking cars heading north

I wonder if they're doing it at other border crossings, Ex. San Luis, Nogales, Tijuana? The answer would possibly help determine what's going on.

    Telmex Internet

Thx, Roberto. No phone line, and I heard Telmex is not installing any new lines in Cholla as well, but need to find out for sure. Somehow managed to go 10 years borrowing neighbors Wi-Fi or using my phone as a mobile Hotspot to have internet. Wife is going to retire soonish and would love to...

    Fire Coral?

During the summer lot's of small pea sized jelly fish in the water. At Laguna shores a few years ago my kid's were playing in the water for 45 minutes before the tide receded and were covered in small welts when they came out. Same thing at Encanto last year in mid-June. It hasn't been a...

    MX to the USA

I have missed that checkpoint so far. But going back into the US there is a Mexican army/marines? check point next to the Insurance building in the middle of the road 150 feet from the Mexico customs area. They have been checking every 3rd car for awhile now, almost all RV's, trailers. They...

Would be the biggest thing ever for RP

This design would make it hard for all those people to hitch rides on top for free. And think of all the lawsuits the owner would have from families of people who fell off it while going 250-300 mph. ;) OK, actually a great idea for RP, Mexic0 and a lot of places in the USA.

Looking for a source for rustic logs for a palapa

Rick, Most of the wood used for palapa's in RP comes from Coborca, I'm told it's pricey. If you find a RP source let me know because a palapa is on my to do list next year.

Soynota crawl turns into a walk in the park?

Yeah, but the police don't do bribes/mordida because they need to supplement their paychecks. In the US they demand Overtime. I'd rather deal with the crawl rather than deal with the idiots driving 80 to 100 mph in Phx. Dirtsurfer, I hear you.

Soynota crawl turns into a walk in the park?

I drove through Sonoyta going to RP and saw only one 60 kph sign and 1 block south all were 40 kph, we took the short cut just past the bridge so I don't know about the stretch on the main road through town. We did the 25mph crawl and had a Policia pass us after following us for 1/2 mile...

    INSTALLING A MINI SPLIT HELP

You have it dialed in and sounds like a great choice of installers. I covered my tubing since I had to run the lines along my bathroom ceiling. Because of the 12" tall bond beam in my house. The duct cover kit was $80. Here's a pic of the plastic. I might contact you for their number if I have...

    INSTALLING A MINI SPLIT HELP

Russ, why was the install so much? (1600 pesos, OK not that much). My installs usually cost me 700 pesos, the last one was pretty involved but still only 800 pesos. I gave him 1200 pesos because he had to hammer drill through 3 walls, install an outside bracket wall mount and install 9 feet of...

El Homeport(the fish rots from the head)Penasco Digital report

Those numbers are totally wrong, almost 30,000 people were killed in all of Mexico, you need to wade through all the inaccurate Headline grabbing articles. Per CNN article: "In Guerrero -- the state where Acapulco is located -- murders rose to 2,316 last year, about the same as 2016, but up...
