    Weather This Weekend

For prices that are 1/4 of a US installation, it's not a big deal, if you have to replace them in 7 years. If you cover them and clean the coils, probably 12 years. The price is almost the same today vs 5 years ago. Install was the same $40 as 5 years ago.

    Weather This Weekend

I bought Mirage 2 ton and a 1 ton heat and cool from Muebles Coloniales (on Constitiution 5 blocks east of Super Ley). Non heat units are $40-50 less. The seller contracted with an installer who delivered and installed them for $40ish each. (700 pesos) They did a OK to decent job, I'm a hands...

Pueto Penasco article in PHX magazine

When we we in Chicago a few weeks ago, while walking back to our hotel, a girl walked up to my daughter who had her cell phone in her rear pocket and told her to put somewhere safe because, where we were, wasn't a good neighborhood. We didn't know, we were near the Sear's/Willis Tower. We felt...

How's the weather in the end of September?

Weather is tough now with dew points at or above 80 every day. End of Sept will be better but still kinda toasty and humid. At least the nights start dropping into the low 70's along with the dew points being 65-70. I was down 2-3 years ago late Sept and thought it was still Aug. Pretty...

    This weekend

Russ, If I was there today, it would be working inside, with the A/C really working.;) Without the wind it would be , I've been there too many times in Aug-Sept when the wind isn't blowing.

    This weekend

Pretty brave people considering the weather with real feel temps of 117 in Penasco. The dew points of 83 in RP now are worse than in Florida currently, only 77 in Miami, LOL. The humidity is the deal breaker for me. (Only 96 real feel in Phx now).

    Buyer beware

It really depends on who did the construction/renovations. In Mexico you have good skilled people and not so skilled (US also has this issue) . In the late 80's I had my modest 1st house built by Danny Brown in Cholla, as it was being built over 6 months my best friend who worked for Shea homes...

    Hooolaaa Anyone there???

RP's heat index has been worse than Phx the past few weeks, your dew points are creeping close to 80, nasty time without A/C as many there don't have it. Back to the gas attack, Fake News I'm sure, the Pres checked it out, or maybe he didn't tweet about it. LOL. How many more days to till the...

    Rain

None reported on the 3 weather stations that are live currently. But with constant 75-80% summer humidity it should keep everything wet.

I want to hear from Full time residence

I Don't live there full time but will spend 3-6 months a year there shortly. I've had a house there for 20+ years. Yes on many of the things Estella posted. Electricity costs can be pretty high, more you use, the more you pay. $300-500 for 2 months during the summer if you like to sleep...

Another 4x4 sunk in Cholla Bay

Brings back a lot of memories, back when JJ's was a popular night spot 20+ years ago we witnessed probably 10 different times cars parked near the scale on the lava rock submerged with water to the middle of the windows during a good high tide. One weekend there were 8-10 cars sitting in 3...

    water shortage

Most people on vacation paying $$ to stay at a resort usually don't care about conserving water, re-using towels, etc. They are there to have a good time and splurge on everything. But the non resorter's have to deal with the fall out from this behavior. Until the resort management can...

    water shortage

It sounds like Russ just really loves life, see's the glass as more than 1/2 full. More people need to have that carefree attitude. But being able to live in Mexico full time would be great, problems and all.

    water shortage

There's one 4" water line coming into Cholla and one valve to fill trucks. (drivers have to record their water usage to pay later) If the water flow is good a truck can be filled in 30 minutes or so. But lately it's pretty slow and when the resorts are full it takes hours to fill one truck.
