Just wanted to share that my hubby gets very bad motion sickness - Dramamine works, but he needs to take it several times a day. He now uses a combination of Bonine and Ginger which he only has to takes once a day. It is also a lot cheaper!

Now 5 weeks and counting!

Thanks for the good advice. We never to exploring without supplies, tools, shovels, carpet, . compressor, and of course plenty of WATER! Perhaps we will try the walk instead.

I agree that the friendly folks are always willing to help - I am just not that lucky that they would be nearby when I screwed up and got my ass stuck in sand! The problem is our phones do not work in Mexico - which is usually great - and we do not speak Spanish. Although I am trying to learn...

Are you "sure" about the 4WD - do not want to get stuck in the sand in Mexico. Then again, do not want to get stuck in the US either - LOL!

So need a 4WD to get there? Will have to wait until we have one then. Thanks!

Always wanted go to Bird Island. Have heard both good and bad. Problem is what to do with my big doggie while we are gone - do not think they will let me bring her on the boat ;)

Thanks for all the info. My biggest concern was my big doggie as she loves to play with "creatures from the sea!" To date, the worst encounter she has had is a stand off with a big old crab at Cholla Bay. She eventually lost when the crab pinched her on the nose - or perhaps the crab did since...

Did you have to pee on her ;)! I have heard of people stepping on sting rays, but not jellyfish. However, I assumed that it has actually happened. Was it in the summer?

Greate name. I am going to go out on a limb here and guess your dog is ridgeback - LOL! ;) My big old girl is "Rio" - appropriately named I thought. She absolutely loves going to Rocky Point and playing with the "sea creatures".
