I thought the same thing as BigMac except that we have had a lot of seismic activity in the are this year. The desert area ans specifically Pinacate lay on the fault lines - so it makes sense that since we have had more than a few temblors that maybe stuff is making its way to the surface...

From my perspective it would have been nice if the reporter would have given his personal take on things, you know his experience of his trip. First hand knowledge is always the best way to tell a story. Then we wouldn't need those pesky cheerleaders.....

We didnt risk it today drove to Yuma and then to Phx 8 hours which included the wait at the inspection station outside El Golfo and 1hour to cross San Luis but a beautiful stress free drive with my wife of 30 years!
