A long overdue update.....

Hi gang,
I haven't posted on here much lately as this has become a long, difficult journey. It's all I can do to eat, sleep, keep all my Dr. and therapy appts. and do my home therapy 3 times a week. I still am not allowed to drive and must depend on friends and family for everything. I am so grateful I have them....I am still so weak that I cannot get up out of a chair without assistance. I can't even climb up into my Jeep. I still have no appetite and must force myself to eat..... I've lost 65 pounds.... I went to see my specialists last Tuesday and was told that I would make a full recovery but it would take 3 months. And, they told me that I was one of the lucky ones.... I thank God for that! I make a little progress every day....... I also retired from state service after 34 years.... I had been talking about retiring for 3 years but this forced my hand..... Retirement will be interesting as I have worked since I was 14.... I hope all of you that are going to PP this weekend have a great time and know that I am there in spirit....

Hey jeeper! Let me know if you would like me to bring you back a potato from tacos brisas. I will be coming back Sunday and could deliver it to you. I know you are not hungry but you can always try to eat a little. Let me know. Hope you feel better.

That is a nice Jeep.Think about all the fun you will be having with it when Sunday afternoon rolls around and you don't have to strike camp by some mountain stream or lake to go back to work on Monday.

Hey Kiddo...keep these thoughts in mind..."
was told that I would make a full recovery but it would take 3 months.and, they told me that I was one of the lucky ones.... I thank God for that"
You have been sorely missed here and we look forward to your return. Hopefully that Tacco Brisas Potato will get you a little nourishment.
I know you have the guts, will and determination to complete the recovery. We'll be talking to the Great Healer to help you along the way.

As far as retiring after such a long time, I know the feeling. If someone asks you what you are going to do today, tell them this.
"Nothing, because that's what I was doing yesterday and I didn't get it finished."

God Bless.

Thanks for the update. Don't think of it as retirement, you just will be doing some different things. What is you current diagnosis and treatment, if you don't mind sharing.

Ha, I think you'r starting to improve more than you realize my friend, you're last post before this was "How do Bryan';s sliders compare to BooBars?".... Hang in there my friend, it's going to get better sooner than you think.
