Carpe Diem Mexico trip 9/15 w-pics

Got an invite to fish aboard David’s 31ft Cabo Express “Carpe Diem”.

Went long into Mexico waters from Dana Point and hit an early morning kelp paddy for a dozen Yellowtail around the 390 Bank.

Trolled for almost five hours until we got one jigged strike on an Albacore south east of the 213. While David was pulling in the troll fish, I tossed out a nice blonde Sardine and got hammered by a chunky nice 30lb JP Albacore…sweeeet!!

Unfortunately, we didn’t troll up anymore Tuna, but at least we got two.

I had a fun time fishing on the “Carpe Diem” and thanks again for the invite David.

LOL - those tuna and yellowtail are not too jazzed about 90 degree water, it seems.

Those Albies and Yellowtail were loving the 70.5 degree water.

My kids will be catching plenty of fish...........because they will be fishing with me. Your kids? well, i dont know.
