Cervantino 2012?

Sorry, Miramar. This year there simply isn't any money with which to put on a Cervantino festival. As most people know, the new administration took over a government that's in a deep hole and Cervantino is one of the casualties. Hopefully next year!

Any hints as to what else might have to wait? I love the Carnival parade, hope it makes it. The one thing the city has done in recent years that the people seem to really enjoy is the Malecon. Evenings on weekends are very plesant with families meeting and greeting. No your typical alcohol fueled visitor's event but if you got kids along be sure and take them to mix and mingle.

I agree Roberto about the Malecon, we love going for dinner (Blue Marlin Grilled Tacos w/ Green Sauce), then get an ice cream from Thrifty and walk along the Malecon. It's beautiful watching the families, listening to music, and looking at the sunset. Love Old Port!

And the Sunday evening concerts at the Plaza del Camaron would be a perfect way to wind down the weekend now that the weather has changed.
