We have been fishing a few times over the past 2 months at 25 to 52 miles from Penasco. Some days were better than others. It has been hard to find mackerel, and sardines are nonexistent. We are using cut bait, squid, jigs, and live bonefish and threadfin herring. I have stopped posting reports. Too busy, plus I don't like some of the feedback on other posts.
Here are some recent photos. The baby hammerhead shark caught last Saturday was released. The baqueta is my biggest ever.

I spent a few hours at Cabellas last sunday...i was loading up on kastmasters and nearshore tackle, all the while picturing the big fish you chase down. Maybe that next cast.....
