I always laugh to myself when I ask guys from work to come fishing to Rocky Point and they refuse because they're scared of Mexico, going out on a boat, etc.
My 84 year old Mom flew down to Yuma to come visit me for awhile and the first words out of her mouth when she got here is she wanted me to take her out fishing to
Rocky Point. So we went out last week to the Caballo area, spent three days out on the water, two nights out on the boat. She slept on one of the fold-out couches on top the boat both nights, refused the beds underneath. One of those nights was by Bird Island, was awesome listening to the sea lions all night.
This was the first fish she caught, sincerely she caught it immediately on the first drop. Nice Pinto. Fishing stayed good after that, nothing real big though and no sharks, which was what I was really hoping to tie into again. (Sorry, the pics aren't the best).
